The "Monitor Apache Servers" program seems to have a weird effect on the windows API when it is visible for example copy and paste wont work very well if at all, minimizing the window fixes the problem very weird
all in all a better apache
Apache 2.0.48 works extremely well on windows 2000 there are no problems such as hanging during shutdown for me anymore
one qualm i have is that the configuration could be made a bit easier using a web based interface like the one which abyss web server from www.aprelium.com has
i look forward to a long and happy life with apache

If its not a squid its amazing how it could support that big a body mass being an invertebrate, or maybe its just half chewed - note : whales have been known to eat squid and vice versa
I went to school in Aberdeen (Secondary School) where we had BBC micros, Windows 98 machines, windows 95 machines and all the administration and other important jobs were done using RISC OS machines which were virtually uncrashable, we werew taught programming on the RISC OS and windows machines and got to play Lemmings and Quake 1 over the network
Further on up however in Lossiemouth the school (primary school) we had Linux machines, RISC OS machines, BBC micro machines and 1 windows 3.11 for workgroups machine
Now in college doing computing we have a SPARC cluster used for all programming except VBasic, all the computers have an X-windows client which connects to the SPARC which runs solaris 7 or 8 all IBM Clones run windows 98, 2000, 95 or XP amd there are a few macs whereas there are 0 RISC OS pcs
I find it amazing how 4 - 11 year old children were taught using linux whereas older ones and adults at college have to either do without or use X-Windows

Wales has its own language called Cymru I
think, Scotland In particular the west coast
has Gaelic, some smaller islands in the
outer hebrides use French and i think some
areas of Orkney and Shetland use Norweigan

having bought a gamecube i would suggest to nintendo that they upgrade the graphics spec a lot, most if not all of the games i played had a lot of slowdownin games such as tony hawks and crazy taxi.
Also maybe they should consider having a slightly bigger console which, now that they have stopped making NES and SNES see http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/05/31/ 0118251&mode=thread&tid=127&tid=186&tid=20 2 would be able to play nes, snes, N64 and possibly gameboy games, either using the original carts or Roms which were available online and could be stored to and loaded from when needed the memory card.
Of course, there's no need to mention Microsoft's inability to create a stable system.
I dont think the author has ever used windows XP or 2003
In my experience AMD computers running windows are more stable than ones powered by Intel

Hi just like to point out that "British" law on copyright is different in different countries
The penalty in Scotland is virtually non existant I know people in the local police force who openly distribute copied music and software amongst colleagues
In England you can get sacked for doing this in most areas although i have heard that it goes on in liverpool so im not entirely surw
Having used Windows from 3.1 onwards i would say that with the release of windows XP microsoft are actually getting the idea of what they are meant to do, create a secure, stable easy to use operating system
windows XP is Reliable and easy to use, if you are a more advanced user it is easy to secure it without using a firewall, closing all the default ports including 135 RPC
Nicrosoft makes the easiest to use operating systems with each operating system having a similar layout to the ones previous thus making it easier to use for previous and new users alike
things such as the api change a lot but other parts of the API dont, you can change some windows XP and.NET server 2003 settings using the control panel from windows 2
you lucky person
i was charged £80 for a twenty minute phone call to the british telecom help desk because they screwed up my bills
oh and i discovered last month that they have been charging me £15 a month for 7 months for a service which BT cancelled because i had to confirm the cancellation with them even though they did not tell me that it was cancelled I love Canada
why cant they port their only decent piece of software over MAC OS X?
I hate crapple and all their junk except for Mac OS X which would be a superb way to bring Unix/Linux/BSD to the consumer desktop it will never be an XP beater because microsoft is getting better i just love the control....
IMHO i would find the files the tracking uses and set up a black list for the users to spam/bomb/DoS
Some websites will not let you in unless you allow them to do this surely this is blackmail?
ECDL (European Computer Driving License) is a course which can basically be taken by anyone with even the slightest knowledge of computers.
I took ECDL last year at Aberdeen College, Scotland Information about ECDL here http://www.abcol.ac.uk/openlearning/lea flets/K2NEC.pdf PDF file
ECDL level is in between (Standard Grade and National Qualification level) Standard Grades being the bog-standard qualifications that every Academy Student has to sit before they can leave school http://www.abcol.ac.uk/courses/quals/qu al.html
The student gets 3 years in which to complete the course there are 7 sections to do each one climaxing with a 30 or 1 hour computerised assesment which are mainly ppoint and click
the assesments are done using programs which are made from macromedia authorware
Students have to log-in to the ECDL database at the college ( i think) it could be remote log-in to a computer somewhere like edinburgh though.
No speaking, Eating, Drinking, Mobile Phones or College Work in the seperate examination room otherwise it is a FAIL stright-off
When going to sit the assesment you need to take your "ECDL Passport/log-book" and 2 other forms of ID such as a bank card and one photographic ID suck as Drivers license or Passport otherwise you cant sit the test
Hope this Help's to enlighten you a bit

I reside in Scotland and recently there have bee tv (invented by a scotsman) adverts advertising the scottish hydro electric broadband over powerlines technology.
the other day i decided to call them up and ask about it they can run at upto 2mb/s and are around £30_STERLING/$45_USD a month.
On phoning i was informed that the trial period was over and that they are now selling the service to people in and around an area in scotland (cant remember whic) but they were not going to expand a lot further at the moment due to BT (british telecom) and BT based ISP's land line domination of the broadband market.
hopefully this technology will be deployed worldwide into more rural areas such as africa, outback australia and into countries which are being rebuilt such as yugoslavia and afghanistan
0845 numbers are national rate and most free ISPs use it
4p a minute from 8am to 6pm
1.5p per minute at all other times
Saturday and Sunday are 1p per minute at all times
local calls are the same price as the national rates as above
national number is so that people in scotland, wales, ireland, guernsey, jersey dont pay extra
for example 20 min call from scotland to london using 0845 at peak = 80p
20 mins from an 01224(aberdeen) to 020(london) 6p a minute

for educational establishments instead of usimng big sparcs it could come in handy
In the uk the maximum upstream for personal users ie.. 512/1mbit/1.5mbit/2mbit adsl & cable is 256k thus services are advertised
[Adsl]
£23.40 per quarter 512/256 adsl
£70.00 per quarter 1mbit/256 adsl
£142.40 per quarter 2mbit/256 adsl
[Cable]
£21.00 per quarter 512/256 cable
£32.70 per quarter 1mbit/256 cable
£48.99 per quarter 1.5mbit/256 cable
£60.00 per quarter 2mbit/256 cable
the 56k access users get 0.5 to 0.75 of their download speed to upload so 56k user dloading at 5k a sec can upload at around 2 - 3k a sec
the 256k upload is the same in most european countries, i have 512/256 adsl and get 55 - 60k downloads and 27 - 30k uploads

IMHO this is just another hollywood get rich quick scheme, She isnt very famous so she sues a huge company to get her name recognised again
The ashes dont have to be brought back down and neither does the rocket which carries them, it also doesnt need life-support systems
