    But the paranoia involving all motherboards in the future to require Windows is obsurd because that is the sort of thing the justice department would not allow Microsoft/Motherboard manufactorers to do. Also, motherboards makers such as EPoX know there is lots of money to be made with overclockers. These are the same people who like to experiment with Linux, if not already using Linux. I don't think they would want to lose their market share.

    I will definetly agree with you here. For reasons involving online coupons and rebats, I have ended up with a lot of Microsoft hardware. A wireless mouse and keyboard, USB Speakers, a wireless router, and a USB wireless NIC. All the stuff works great, and works with Linux (kernel 2.4.22)(although the USB nic was a god damn bitch to get working). Its also nice to know that when a new version of Windows is released, the drivers will be included.

    I have been noticing a lot of my hosting customers are being restricted to using only their ISPs SMTP server to send e-mail. They will not be able to connect to their colocated/hosted e-mail servers to send e-mail. I believe this is to prevent SOBIG and other types of works from sending out e-mail, but this is making my job quiet hard. I have to configure webmail for all these customers who would rather use Outlook.

    my newest requirement is to have the book in PDF format so I can simply search for keywords, saving time, and hassle. having the PDF on a few different computers and storing the book away after skimming through it works better than having thousands and thousands of pages take up my precious 500 sq ft. apartment
