I just read the MSNBC article, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6969799/, about how large quantities of personal information were stolen from your databases and became concerned. Therefore, as I am not a resident of California, and thus you will not voluntarily be informing me of whether I am affected, I would like to request that you provide me with assurances that my information was not compromised.
If I do not receive a response from you within a week I will be contacting my lawyer and asking him to pursue this matter further.
Having a degree from one of those "name" schools, I completely agree. For your first job it definetly opens some doors that would not otherwise be available. However, after that time period it really doesn't help you. Honestly, you would be much better off getting a good internship and securing employment through that company.
That being said, if you plan on getting a graduate degree of any form name recognition is very important. If you're a great student your institution doesn't matter, but a 3.0 from Harvard goes a whole lot furher than a 3.0 from Southern Conneticut.
I expect you're going to have a tough time finding a suitable supply to modify. Looking at the datasheet you posted, I see that your origional supply had a strange distrobution between 3.3V, 5V, and 12V. Nearly every off the shelf supply will have enough 12V but nowhere near enough 3.3V or 5V.
My suggestion to you is to try to fit two 1U supplies in the chassis, one an ATX and the other an ESP12V. Look at supplies by Sparkle, they're fairly robust and relatively tiny. However, if you go the two supply route make sure that you solder the sense lines for the two supplies together or else you're going to have some reliability problems.

Say I register Bill.com and someone writes a book about Bill Gates' secret life as a modern day Robin Hood, stealing from everyone and giving a portion back to the poor. Would I be allowed to tell them that they couldn't call it Bill.com? Fuck no I couldn't. Just because I own a domain name doesn't give me exclusive rights to tell other people what to do with the name.
At first she didn't tell them what to do with the name. Penguin had demanded she give up the address and all she wanted was to keep her existing domain. So to use your example: you register bill.com, Gate's book comes out, the publisher demands you give them bill.com
If you are going to mod up a comment at least take the time to read the article. There is no justification for a completely incorrect comment to be modded up this many times.
What 70% efficiency means is that to supply the 500Ws listed you would need to pull 715W from the wall outlet.
Also keep in mind that as the input voltage decreases the efficiency also decreases. Just because a supply is 70% efficient at 110 VAC doesn't mean it will still be 70% efficient at 90 VAC.
Now, I'm not an economist or anything, but aren't costs supposed to come down when the demand decreases?
Usually. You are refering to what is known as economy of scale however it doesn't really apply to games. The cost to produce a single game, after it has been developed, is nearly identical to the cost of producing 1,000,000 games. Thus no real cost savings, with the exception of shipping, as the volume increases
IBM still makes and sells notebooks and desktops. Does anybody confirm something before posting.
Such an ironic statement. IBM discontinued their desktop line, Aptiva, years ago.

No, he took it apart because he was looking to start a service where you can have your case re-anodized in the color, colors or even images of your own choosing.
Honestly the school matters a whole lot less than the location, assuming the school has a decent reputation.
The vast majority of employees hire from local schools so if you are looking for networking companies try looking at any of the good UC schools or depending on your grades Cal Tech/Stanford.
The ATX power supply standard has nothing to do with the size of the power supply.
The ATX, and more common ATX12V and EPS12V, refers to the type of connectors supplied as well as a few power requirements that don't concern most home users.
If you are looking for a small 400W ATX12V supply look at either Etasis or a company called SPI, which goes by the name of Sparkle or Zippy at your local Fry's.
LINDON, Utah (PRNewswire) - LINDON, Utah, Dec. 23/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The SCO Group, Inc., , the owner of the UNIX operating system and a leading provider of UNIX-based solutions, today announced the appointment of Daniel W. Campbell, CPA, as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Additionally, the Company announced that Steve Cakebread, a member of the Board of Directors since July 2000, has resigned effective December 22, 2003 due to personal time constraints.
The rest of the article is just fluff.
The reason the stock jumped 2.4% on Friday was that after the market closed on the 23rd SCO announced that there would be a change to the Board of Directors. As the market wasn't open on the 24th or 25th investors couldn't trade on this news until the 26th.
Not on all American university students but a monoply none the less. Granted it is on a much smaller scale but by removing all competition from that area, which is basically what is being done by not teaching students a skill set that is widely regarded by the general public as useful, you are setting up a system which doesn't foster fair business practices. That is all that a monoply is regardless of the size of the population being influenced.
Is it as bad as what Microsoft does? No but it is the same thing just on a much smaller scale.
I have a theory; people aren't unpopular because they are smart, they are smart because they are unpopular.
Yes I know there are exceptions to this rule and it doesn't always hold true but hear me out before posting verbose retorts.
There are two kinds of smart, book smart and just plain smart. It is sometimes difficult to determine between the two and this theory only works for those who are book smart.
People who are not exceedingly athletic, attractive or funny, this accounts for the fat kid who by all accounts should have no friends but is dating the head cheerleader, don't have many social outlets. They aren't asked out on dates very often, they aren't invited to parties, they don't have practice to go to and as such don't have anything better to do than study.
Thus it isn't the intelligence that separates and isolates but instead it is the isolation and loneliness which leads to academic excellence and the nerd label that is so often attached to this.
The same has been true in Chicago for about two years. It had nothing to do with the number of phones in use but instead with the cell phone companies buying off blocks of numbers and then not wanting to distribute them to non-customers.

To get mine I had to verify what company holds the lease on my car as well as what the payment was per month.
