Assuming the merchant instantly converts Bitcoins into cash for say, a $100 equivalent transaction, what is the difference in transaction cost when compared with a credit card? I know credit card transactions cost roughly 2%, or $2 in this case.
It depends on the merchant's Bitcoin processor or whatever private contract they have with them. The main processors are Coinbase and BitPay. There is a transaction fee paid by the customer of.0001 BTC when they make the payment. That fee goes to the Bitcoin miners on the network. The payment processors have varying fees for the transaction that the merchant would pay when instantly converting to cash. I believe there is no fee on the portion of Bitcoin the merchant may or may not choose to hold. For the moment at least.
It's all about the Pentiums, baby
Uhh, uh-huh, yeah
Uhh, uh-huh, yeah
It's all about the Pentiums, baby
It's all about the Pentiums, baby
It's all about the Pentiums!
It's all about the Pentiums!
(Yeah!!)
What y'all wanna do?
Wanna be hackers? Code crackers? Slackers
Wastin' time with all the chatroom yakkers?
9 to 5, chillin' at Hewlett Packard?
Workin' at a desk with a dumb little placard?
Yeah, payin' the bills with my mad programming skills
Defraggin' my hard drive for thrills
I got me a hundred gigabytes of RAM
I never feed trolls and I don't read spam
Installed a T1 line in my house
Always at my PC, double-clickin' on my mizouse
Upgrade my system at least twice a day
I'm strictly plug-and-play, I ain't afraid of Y2K
I'm down with Bill Gates, I call him Money for short
I phone him up at home and I make him do my tech support
It's all about the Pentiums, what?
You gotta be the dumbest newbie I've ever seen
You've got white-out all over your screen
You think your Commodore 64 is really neato
What kinda chip you got in there, a Dorito?
You're usin' a 286? Don't make me laugh
Your Windows boots up in what, a day and a half?
You could back up your whole hard drive on a floppy diskette
You're the biggest joke on the Internet
Your database is a disaster
You're waxin' your modem, tryin' to make it go faster
Hey fella, I bet you're still livin' in your parents' cellar
Downloadin' pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar
And postin' "Me too!" like some brain-dead AOL-er
I should do the world a favor and cap you like Old Yeller
You're just about as useless as jpegs to Helen Keller

"So, when a display driver for OpenGL is loaded, Aeroglass shuts down. First and foremost:
This has absolutely no implications for fullscreen games on single monitor setups!
So, with that important detail out of the way, let's look at the scenarios where we DO have a serious problem:
* Multi-monitor setups
* Windowed mode applications"
Dude, damn near every 'geek' I know runs a multi-headed setup. Ive been doing it for years...
Believe it or not, people with large resolutions like to run mmo's windowed.
But seriously, how does this physical DRM safeguard actually do anything? This only hurts the consumer by making the hardware and media more expensive. The common person that purchases DVDs isnt going to be the one that that copys them. Just like CSS this new form of DRM will be cracked.
There are ways to relay your connection trough multiple open proxies, rendering you anonymous. Id like to see the athorities subpoena connection logs from 20 different hosts to catch some kid downloading music, porn, and movies. Not to mention they would have to bust each one in sequential order AND pray that logging is in place on every one.
As for that offer to buy a server, its not my business I just meerly pointed out a good link:) Glad to see that it will work for you.
Well stop looking and go to http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net
Direct Connect is your daddy and the secret is out.
Want to be on top without any work? http://www.keydesigns.biz
Order a dc server for as low as 15 dollars a month, heck they will even fill your hub up with users free of charge. Small contribution = unlimited amounts of unconditional access to shared files.
Then again you can always be just a user and build up your stash to get into more exclusive hubs with better releases.
My advise, start at the top and get what you want.
Microsoft has a contender for the console market. Oh wait its their own hardware with someones better software. hummm ms seems to be doing great.
Uh who the hell cares... Seriously.

Every fucking week they have to remind us that wireless technologies are shitty.
Idiot: hey guess what, wireless is insecure! Me: no shit
Wireless tech makes it so i dont have to be in your building to hack you. I can be in your parking lot. In reality wired networks are 10x more insecure than wireless. There is an assumption of protection because they could see the black hat walk in the door. Bullshit, I'm the repair man, the delivery boy, the lunch guy, or even ur mom. Walk in, plug in, and masqerade as someone else. Why are we focusing on wireless insecurities when our wired networks are even worse...

God I hate MS...
How about I give them a stool sample.

They used their newly invented matter transporter of course.
Now will they use it to control WMDs?
mod_backhand maybe? :)
And ./'ed within 5 seconds...
They should switch to a premium unleaded/apache method :)
