    Assuming the merchant instantly converts Bitcoins into cash for say, a $100 equivalent transaction, what is the difference in transaction cost when compared with a credit card? I know credit card transactions cost roughly 2%, or $2 in this case.

    It depends on the merchant's Bitcoin processor or whatever private contract they have with them. The main processors are Coinbase and BitPay. There is a transaction fee paid by the customer of .0001 BTC when they make the payment. That fee goes to the Bitcoin miners on the network. The payment processors have varying fees for the transaction that the merchant would pay when instantly converting to cash. I believe there is no fee on the portion of Bitcoin the merchant may or may not choose to hold. For the moment at least.

    But seriously, how does this physical DRM safeguard actually do anything?
    This only hurts the consumer by making the hardware and media more expensive. The common person that purchases DVDs isnt going to be the one that that copys them.
    Just like CSS this new form of DRM will be cracked.

    There are ways to relay your connection trough multiple open proxies, rendering you anonymous. Id like to see the athorities subpoena connection logs from 20 different hosts to catch some kid downloading music, porn, and movies. Not to mention they would have to bust each one in sequential order AND pray that logging is in place on every one. As for that offer to buy a server, its not my business I just meerly pointed out a good link :) Glad to see that it will work for you.

Want to be on top without any work? http://www.keydesigns.biz Order a dc server for as low as 15 dollars a month, heck they will even fill your hub up with users free of charge. Small contribution = unlimited amounts of unconditional access to shared files. Then again you can always be just a user and build up your stash to get into more exclusive hubs with better releases. My advise, start at the top and get what you want.

    In reality wired networks are 10x more insecure than wireless. There is an assumption of protection because they could see the black hat walk in the door.

    Why are we focusing on wireless insecurities when our wired networks are even worse...
