I ran into this same issue. We had a spare SBS licence so I installed it on an old system at home. A system I might add is used for remote admin chores so it was a "work" computer. It kept shutting down for no good reason, same issue, it wanted to be a DC. So I promoted it to a DC and got to enjoy 5 mins of "preparing network connections" every reboot that didn't exist before the promo'. I did find a solution but it was the trusty format and install Linux fix.

IIRC a form of tag is played by every mammal, from dogs to dolphins.
Add in the pressure of a murder charge, the much more oppressive nature of the police interview, the fact that you are (hypothetically) lying for the hugest stakes; all the while a skilled interrogator, backed by an investigative department and a team of researchers, is looking for that one loose thread that doesn't fit. Just the slightest tug on the smallest thread can unravel a whole garment.
Exactly, like an old Columbo episode
"Thats good, ok sir." *pause* "Ya know, there is this one thing I just don't understand..."
=)
At least you are getting quality product for that ~6USD per gallon. Best I can get is 91 octane outside of a race track. So stop YOUR complaining you lucky bastard, you can run all kinds of boost with 95 =)
Remember kids, When offered to pilot the giant mecha the answer is always "yes", not "waaaaah waaaaaaah, daddy didn't love me". Freeking whiney little waste! Daddy just offered you a GIANT MECHA, this should more then make up for all the time he missed Little League while he was busy SAVING THE WORLD!
Did Rick Hunter shy away from the Veritech when it crashed in his neighborhood, never!! Did Wildstar dodge the draft and cry when he had to serve on the Yamato, nay, he volunteered!! This is how good decent Anime characters should act.
I'm a SysAd at a small (5000 subscriber) ISP in California for about 5 months. We recently stopped offering Usenet after I did an audit on the NNTP server. I found we only had 2 separate IPs in the logs using NNTP and the server was downloading 2-6Gb a day. So I took the files in the spool and filtered for names of Usenet groups. What did I find? Mostly foot pr0n. Were were paying I don't know how much for how long so 1 or 2 users could feed their foot pr0n habbit. I had seen enough, it was going down. We got 1 call to complian and that user left us (quite angry too, don't mess with a man's foot pr0n habbit =). On the plus side we made money since the useage on our OC3 has gone down 30% since I offed the server. I still have the output of my filter. We keep it on one of the file servers here for amusement.
The burners of a electric stove work too. I needed some RAM for a VESA EIDE caching HD controler (this was a while back). I found this dusty EGA card in my closet with the exact chips I needed. I turned on the stove, waited until it was red hot, and mashed the board solder side down on the burner. It smelled horrid. When the solder melted I scooped off the chips with a butter knife as fast as I could. My roomate walked in while I was doing this and asked "what are you doing?", I smiled and said "making chips" =P. I installed the card and ran the RAM checking ROM routines on it in a 666 cycle loop, checked out fine. Used that card for a couple years with no problems.
Be nice on the days leading up to mothers and fathers day someone deface their web presence to bring more attention to this issue. Or perhaps DDOS any e-commerce presence the might have as a form of non-voluntary boycott. Just some ideas.
It's the REAL bastard key on the PC's layout. I always suspected it was for compatibility with an IBM terminal emulation or something. I only remember one program that used it, DESQview. For all of you that are confused, DESQview was a multi-tasker for MS-DOS. If you were an old-school MS-DOS hacker you may have used it. If not, be happy that you were spared the pain =). Can anyone else name an app that used it? I'm talking default mappings here. Please spare me the "you used MS-DOS you infidel! I've been using UNIX since I was in the womb!@#!#" nonsense, some of us were young and had shitty computers.
The tradgy of the re-entry burn up of the Columbia reminded me of Challenger disaster. I was a grade school student at the time and all the AV carts were rolled out so we could all view the events on live TV. It was significant at the time since there was a schoolteacher on board. The event is forever burned in my memory. The first real death and destruction I ever witnessed. A few years later there was a compition held to name the replacement shuttle. I suggested "Phoenix" at the time (no, I didn't intend it to be offensive, it seemed to be a good referance). NASA sent us back a letter, I don't recall the exact wording, but the effect was, the name was considered but passed on. This is one depressing day =(
I always took a small ammount of misguided pride in being able to manage my ram by hand.
"This TSR goes in LOW-MEM, this TSR in the HMA, shuffle this one, move that one, change this CONFIG.SYS line, edit that AUTOEXEC.BAT line. Reboot, reboot, reboot, and voola!, an extra 3K of memory.. now this game will run"
No MEMAKER no QEMM auto-optimize, just my nerves of steel and iron gut! fly by the seat of my pants baby!!@$#@@#! Ahhh.. the good old days...
WTF am I saying.. good riddance...
According to Bush the Terrorists hate us because we are free. Therefore, if we are stripped of all our freedoms the Terrorists will no long hate us.

...data centers are designed by CRAC addicts =)
Would Lotteries and Sub-Prime lending would be more evidence of this? =D

Stelth was a poor rip off of Macross Plus.

Never buy and X10 cam, that will only encourge them to make more annoying pop-ups!
