Where do you draw me talking about the invasion from that comment? I thought the whole world knew about the unanimous vote by the UNSC. Apparently some ppl were living under a rock so I'll do the google for you.
Here.President Bush has welcomed the unanimous vote by the United Nations Security Council November 8 to force the disarmament of Iraq.
"The world has now come together to say that the outlaw regime in Iraq will not be permitted to build or possess chemical, biological or nuclear weapons," Bush, flanked by Secretary of State Colin Powell and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, said in a statement at the White House shortly after the vote took place.
"Iraq must now, without delay or negotiation, fully disarm," Bush said, promising that Iraq will face "the severest consequences" if the Saddam Hussein regime does not comply with the latest Security Council demands.
"The resolution approved today presents the Iraqi regime with a test -- a final test," Bush said. "Iraq must now, without delay or negotiations, fully disarm, welcome full inspections, and fundamentally change the approach it has taken for more than a decade.
They had a very informative special on Discovery about Germany and the nuclear research during WW2. The story about the uranium on a sub and the other story about the entire shipment of heavy water being sunk in a lake set them so far back they couldn't catch up again. Things like this in history are probably why it was unanimous to decide to do something about Iraq when they thought they were building WMDs. If Germany had waited a few short years they would have been quite a bit more lethal.
No gears in the engine and having a transmission with gears is totally different. To get the benefit of the engine turning you would need a way to transfer this to the wheels....belt...chain...gears...something to get it there.
I had never heard of that so I did a google search on it. I did find it but I was amazed at how many hits I got it the "offensive" spelling of the word. I'm wondering if the phrase has been around the world so many times that it developed an alternate spelling (see tomato/tomatoe - pumpkin/punkin in the dictionary) without knowledge of it being a racial slur.
I know this is offtopic (see sig...I'm replying to a topic so how can it be? lol) but I'm curious. Did the saying spark the scene in Braveheart where they left the battlefield during the heat of battle? Maybe that was someone else. It has been awhile since I've seen it.
Argh I read the first page and stopped. Those aren't spoilers, its a walk-through of what happens just like the overview of 'Lost' on the ABC website. Don't read it if you don't want big time spoilers. It even ruins the suspense of the cliffhanger at the end of season 1. BAH!
They may be able to curb some of the pirating if they would just broadcast simultaneously.
No kidding! I've got every episode on my drive until it comes out on DVD. I can't believe a date still hasn't even been announced for the release of season 1 when it has been out overseas for months. I'm not pirating, I'm just impatient and want my copy now. I'm definitely anxious to get it on DVD 16:9 and free up a few gigs of space.
This is really more of a stereotype than anything else. The Bible never says anything at all about life elsewhere. It is only about this planet. As a matter of fact it begins with the words "...created the heavens AND the earth.". I'm Christian and I do not know of any other Christians who get angry over people suggesting the possibility of life elsewhere. In the words of whats-her-face in 'Contact'..."if there isn't anybody else out there it seems like an aweful waste of space.".
Not necessarily. If they need to fill a price point, chip companies will sell the higher grade stuff at a lower price point and intentionally cripple it.
Intel and AMD have been doing it for years, and they are hardly the only ones.
486 SX and 486 DX come to mind. SX was usually the ones that failed the match co-processor test so they just disabled it and shipped it as an SX.
Why on earth would Microsoft want a cross-platform browser? The primary purpose of IE is to lock people into Windows.
+/- monopoly. You gain more customers while at the same time saying you aren't locking them into using Windows to use IE. Don't laugh. Lots of people downloaded it for Mac before it was discontinued.
It's scary to contemplate, but, with the exception of my current employer, every single one of my employers since I entered the field in '91 are bankrupt (remember Inacom?), closed up, sold out -- just plain gone. I've got no references.
I've got carOrder.com (the only network admin there) and Enron on my list. Most of the others you wouldn't have heard about but all were the same story.
I honestly don't know how the default drivers are for NVidia cards,
You can get a linux driver from nvidias web site. The biggest drawbacks are that you have to compile it into the kernel and that you can't set the front-porch or back-porch settings unless it is a GeForce4 or higher. (front/back porch lets you squeeze to fit your tv. Absolutely necessary on my 16:9). The kernel thing is only an issue to me because I'm hooked into DVI on the TV and don't get any video until X loads. You'll find lots of complaints about NVidia drivers in the mythtv forums but most of them are from the complexity of setting them up rather than about functionality.
I found a PVR-500 on ebay for $20 less than the PVR-350. It has dual tuners so you can watch one while you record the other. It detects as 2 separate PVR-250s. I really like it.
LOL I had the same thing happen. I had 2 weeks vacation so I gave them a 4 week notice when I was offered almost double current salary elsewhere. They sent me home and I had a nice paid month long vacation. Ahhhhh.
My list on my resume is more along the lines of: (Would be) future employer: May we contact your previous employers? Me: You can try. They were all.coms and vaporized in the bubble burst. However, one of my old bosses works at Dennys on the night shift now. You might be able to catch him there.
MOO2!!! LOL I was thinking the same thing ;)

FYI he didn't comply.

Germany used gas to kill thousands of Jews.
It didn't happen nearly as often but it did happen.

Be PC. Its an "unclean" bomb vs the clean type that reduces to dust particles.
LOL! Made me almost spew coffee on that one
An advantage to living in the red states. We not only can use one, we can fix it with bailing wire and duct tape!

Honestly I don't know why they don't just broadcast simultaneously. They should have learned from last season.
Uh...who said I haven't seen season 1? I'm the one talking about having it on my HD until they get off their butts and release it on DVD ;)

What about the bullets? hmm? Are they plastic? I agree...this has to be urban legend.

The draft wasn't a voluntary process unless you REALLY wanted to go.

yahoo 5 x 12 = 60 = media content
guide 60 == 60 = csv file with words in it
That looks more like the point I think he was trying to make.

Thats it. I'm cancelling my flight.
