Several years back I worked for a company that printed high security checks, auto registrations, and auto titles (among other standard business forms). All of these are very complex documents and are best done the old fasioned way, on a press. Although the offset press may not be quite as good as using hand etched plates it most definitely can turn out more complex images than any inkjet or color laser printer could ever hope to do.

Simple process, photograph the bill, do your color separations in an older version of photoshop, etc; then burn plates from the color seperated negatives. Better yet, bypass photoshop completely and take several photographs of the bill using different filters over the lens to directly produce your color seperated negatives.

The fact of the matter is that the "big boys" in counterfeiting are NOT using a $50.00 scanner and a $19.99 inkjet printer.

Also, my guess is that the movie industry would have a pretty good shot at having a military jet for filming purposes.

Of course, the FAA can pretty much deny your application as they see fit, but as long as you have had training on the particular plane you are wanting to own/fly and you meet one of the special conditions required I'm sure that it would not be an issue.

You do need an actual special reason for flying the plane, but aside from that it is quite possible for a private party to own and fly a military jet.

The original full pop list price for this machine 6 years ago in 1999 was $2499.00. By my calculations, based on the fact that the machine currently sells for an average of $500.00 used without any of the upgrades I added, it has lost 80% of it's value over a 6 year period of time. And while a comparable (?) x86 system from 1999 may have cost only around $2000.00 you will now have to give it away for free to a friend that just needs an old junk router box. And yes, by comparable I mean nice case (not some bleeder beer can case with a crap power supply), 64Bit PCI slots, Firewire (ieee1394), DVD-ROM drive, etc...basically fully loaded as a Mac comes by default.

Please make sure that you are comparing Apples to apples....pun intended. Any x86 system built with low grade cheap components will most assuredly be far less expensive than a Mac, but once you get into loading up the PC with the things that are standard on a mac, you may find your x86 systems to be a bit pricier than expected; Please don't compare the Mac pricing to a Wal-Mart special eMachine.

When the EX format was first introduced the DVD manufacturers had a flag on the DVD that would tell a 6.1 EX capable receiver to kick in the center rear channel matrixed; It was still the exact same 5.1 encoding though. Since that flag has been abandoned you now need to tell your receiver manually to always use the extra matrixed channel.

Unfortunately the "Intellivision Lives" CD probably has such a small audience and therefore small profit margin that the commercial heavies aren't interested in creating such an animal. Go take a look on the various console video game review sites, the commercial versions of "arcade classic" games are almost always terribly low due to being compared to modern games in the graphics and sound department and they definitely appeal to a far smaller consumer base than the latest and greatest rehash of the same old beat-em-up or skating game.

What I'm trying to say is that the commercial developers wouldn't be interested in releasing these types of things mainly because of the lack of profits involved. It's just too small of a consumer base to please at the expense of the development costs. I would be more than happy to buy (yes, I know...evil word) these classic games given the opportunity at a REASONABLE price point; especially considering that the bulk of the profit for these games was made way back in the 70's and 80's and any additional profits would be pure gravy.
