Give it some time. Someone will write somthing to snag your e-mails for you.
Right now one of the best programs for hotmail (my spam e-mail box) is "Hotwayd".
I installed it and set it up and it acts like a transparent Pop3 server which you connect to via Thunderbird or whatever client you use. It even will delete the mail server side if you delete it locally. I was truely amazed.
What's Stopping people from doing such a thing on google's e-mail ?
Hotwayd -- Check it out if you use hotmail and want to manage it via thunderbird or just about any pop3 client.
What about this little Sun , Moon and Power button on my Keyboard... how would I get support for that ? is it a kernel thing or a Software thing ?. It's a PS/2 Keyboard and I noticed these buttons and also maybe those windows keys too.:D
haha... Honestly I don't mind snail mail spam. Usually that spam has SOME kind of use.
Plus if a company is willing to spend some money on sending me somthing I will usually read it then put in 33 cents of pennys or whatever else is small and heavy and send the mail. This way the company has to pay extra for shipping. It also stops them from sending shit back since they don't like me. Why waste perfectly good urine when you could put small metallic objects in the envalope.
Didn't Altavista have popups or somthing one time. I remember back in the day when I used to use it alot( before google it was a decent search engine). Then it got bought out or somthing and I remember searching with it and got a popup. I stopped using it then and found google. Been using it ever since.
All my schools computers are being turned into "Mac". Which isn't a bad thing but the problem is office formats. Mac's use "Office X" and alot of people who have windows machines (most of them) had all these issues converting there "Power Point" presentation over to the macs. I saved an Openoffice format to a older power point presentation.
All worried I didn't think it would work. I went on my website and downloaded the presentation and whoopie it worked. I was actually impressed with openoffice and it's good job on creating compatable formats. Even people who did the work on the power point for windows had losses in things (the way the txt moves around and such). Mine had all the ones I chose and worked really good.
I find openoffice to not have a few things which I think should be there. I noticed MS Office had a TON of templates. Openoffice had very little to none. If OO would work on things like templates or even had a "Make your own Clip Art" contest where you win a shirt or somthing to actually have some clipart then it would be very comparable to Office 2003 or XP.
Just to say... congrats to the OO team for making a good program which lets me do my work on linux and not have to worry "if it will work" on other platforms.
Well... I only found out about these unofficial domain's today. Also I noticed I have support for them.
Frankly I think ICANN has a reason for not making every single TLD they can think of. It's too fucking hard to keep track of. Atleast now you know "okay the site is somthing. oh maybe.com.org.net usually one of those. With this new system there is like 30 of them. "Maybe.ocean or.god or.sex" etc etc. Also if these people don't like ICANN then don't use the root DNS servers. Live off the fake DNS entrys they made and live in the fantasy world.
The Internet can't live 100% without "someone" taking stand. Think about how much of a mess the net would be if no one had "one" DNS server and everyone used there own. Or what would happen if no one owned IP's and they where free. People would have IP's left and right. Taking them and such. The Internet has to have some control (even tho most of you's don't like the idea of that and some do). Still it needs someone to watch it and make sure it is doing good. You have to remember alot of money goes through this internet now and people depend on it quite a bit.
Where would the internet be if no one "took charge"
Most of the time Cable providers have a "semi" static IP address. Ive had mine for months and months. Also some ISP's use the MAC address of your Network card connected to the Cable modem (I know Rogers does this in canada since your MAC address is actually in your rdns).
DSL uses PPPoE (well over here it does) and your IP does change often. Whenever you disconnect it changes.
Windows XP was a way to get "Windows 2000" into a nice "friendly" desktop.
It actually was supposed to be Windows Neptune but that beta just never happened. Windows 2000 is too hard for the normal user so XP dumbed down the NT based windows for "normal" people to use.
IE in Windows XP SP2 (beta) actually has Active X limitations and will not let every script run like it's older versions. I was VERY impressed when it denied it a few times on some websites trying to install some kind of program. Even Adaware has been finding less spy thingys.
Once SP2 comes out for XP you guys will have somewhat less reasons to complain about windows.
Windows longhorn is still in alpha. Isn't Windows Longhorn supposed to have some cool 3D GUI where you can flip windows around and shit.
You have to remember so far Windows Longhorn is basicly Windows XP SP2 with a slightly new look and maybe some basic usablitiy changes. The big big core changes will not happen for a little bit
What else do you expect from a beta ?
I could be wrong about the 3D GUI tho... maybe that was somthing suns working on or someone is working on but I know there is a Beta 3D GUI where you can make windows spin and throw them around and such.
Windows XP SP2 fixes most of these problems. When you load windows with SP2 for the first time it enables your firewall AND questions you about windows update. This will solve alot of issues. It also blocks bad active X pages automagicly. MS is working on these problems. Too bad it took them so long to actually implement them.
Sudbury is a small mining town and I swear we have the most timmies per person. For sure...
I noticed that no matter where I am in this town im atleast a 20 min walk from a timmies. One part of the town there are 2 on the same street. I can walk out of one and see the other tims.
You know what I had the same issue. Just goto Passport.com Then sign up your current e-mail address too it.
Log in and then simply get that "Verification E-Mail" so you can change your MSN name.
Now simply log in with the real MSN client. Export your list... then import it into your new account.
I did this when I got my domain and thought I would have less people accept me but I found people on my list I have not talked to for years. Plus it's good to see who's account is still active
From what I get from it... you can have 2 access points and it could jump from one to the other (which would really give it an advantage if you have a WAP in your back yard or somthing. Meaning your phone could work on your entire property)
No way... Windows ME was the fastest version of windows. I honestly had NO problem with it on my PII 350 and it would boot (full boot) in under 30 seconds. Which for that poor 350 was pretty good.
The only thing is ME required you to spend some time taking care of it. I had it do a Norton Windoctor Test EVERY night and would come up with countless errors. As long as I baby it, I could keep boots for along time (1w was plenty for a family machine not serving anything).
The 9x series was ANYTHING but slow. If not faster since it was so simple. But easy to break.
The only reason I liked ME was the speed. (and it supported my 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee very well)
From the looks of it im the only person who liked ME... oh well we all have our own tastes
Sudbury Ontario has to be one of the highest tim populations...
We have 2 timmies right beside eachother... also we have somthing like 40 some tim horton shops in a 100,000 person city. No matter WHERE you are your atleast a 20 min walk from a timmies.
What im trying to say is an addicion is more then JUST a physical addiction. People like the habbits of what they do. That is usually the hardest part of quitting smoking and such (well it was for me)
I had the same habit of going to the coffee shop and having my smoke and coffee. It's hard going to the coffee shop and not want my smoke and coffee.
Value ?
What is Value ? the Number they put on the sticker for you to buy ? Or Just what _you_ find as a value
CD's are ~ 15 bucks, to me they have 0 Value. I don't care, I pay some stuipd levy on my media so I should be able to download as much as I want.
Americans on the other hand don't pay these.
"Downloading Music Supports Terrorism"

Just somthing to think upon

It will be soon ... I decided to try out the beta ... and the windows update UI also changed.
:) I hope they can keep the good trends and fix up those little errors which cause them so much trouble.
It has 2 menus "Express" or "Custom".
The Express menu just installs the most important updates (which has a new looking installer now which actually tells you what the fuck it's doing).
The Custom menu brings you to the normal Windows update site which lets you choose other things
All in all im actually impressed with MS

hmm ... really ... it's now the "Greater Sudbury" or somthing stupid ... so it could be only taking downtown sudbury ... or new sudbury ...
There are like 40 in Sudbury , Ontario
...
:D
Sudbury is a small mining town and I swear we have the most timmies per person. For sure
I noticed that no matter where I am in this town im atleast a 20 min walk from a timmies. One part of the town there are 2 on the same street. I can walk out of one and see the other tims.
All your tim's are belong to us
You have to remember ... Windows ME got hit by the "Spyware" Generation. If you did an adaware and a norton windoctor of course it would run speedy
You know what I had the same issue. Just goto Passport.com Then sign up your current e-mail address too it.
... then import it into your new account.

Umm ... Hotmail seems quite speedy for me ? and my INBOX has no spam at all ive never told ANYONE about it and that it even exists.
... somthing would change
:D
Maybe if you stopped signing up for porn mailing lists and got off that 14.4 connection
Well ... that works ... but I was hoping for somthing more "While on the call" type thing
... so when your on your land phone ... press some kinda button and your cell phone links up and you don't disconnect the call ...
You know
You know what ... I had the same thought !!
I know that there is one to bring your cell phone to your land line but not your land line to your cellphone (which would make sense)
From what I get from it ... you can have 2 access points and it could jump from one to the other (which would really give it an advantage if you have a WAP in your back yard or somthing. Meaning your phone could work on your entire property)
Or are you just stuck to the one WAP ?
No way ... Windows ME was the fastest version of windows. I honestly had NO problem with it on my PII 350 and it would boot (full boot) in under 30 seconds. Which for that poor 350 was pretty good.
