Clones never work. The things that made ever-crack so good was the subilties in the game, the nice rates, basicly, it was a all-around kick ass game. This clone however I would not buy even if it got good reviews, why? Simple, clones SUCK! I have yet to see a clone that comes out that is worth me dropping my Diablo 2 or StarCraft. Do we all remember Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds? Ouch, that was a horrible, money sucking game that was made solely so they could squeeze the last amounts of money from the name Star Wars. Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds (for those who don't know) was a game clone of the RTS games like Command and Conquer and StarCraft. The problem is that SWGBG didn't have a plot, bad graphics (starcraft has better), controls were "clunky", and most of all it didn't have balanced, well developed teams. After that much of a dissapointment and from the post saying the beta sucked, I would not even want to look at the game box for it defiles the sacred name EverQuest!

  8. Everyone does SOMETHING to their tests... on Apple Hardware VP Defends Benchmarks · · Score: 1

This is an old story where someone fudges alittle on the scores, this is called "marketing." Intel does it with the "3.06Ghz" BS and AMD does it with there bizzare Athlon XP+ 3200 when it runs at 2.1GHz. And let us not forget the nVidia/ATI scandels! Apple has now done the same thing where they use a different way of benchmarking. I think that this has come under more fire because of the Mac vs. PC battles of old. I would like to ask "Who cares now about the benchmarking scandel with ATI and nvidia?" The answer would be very few. So in the end, Apple, just like everyone else, is marketing their new computer. If you want the facts go to a respected third-party like PC World or CNet, not some shady little site for accurate benchmarking!

Or what about the wonderful 120s? The new 180s and 250s are going to be great, but who is going to be willing to take a risk with possible defects... I don't want to wake up one day to find that all my data is gone! Perhaps this is the the straw that broke the camal's back to the point were I am going to buy IBM hard drives...

That would sound like a good idea, but it is not the best idea. I know how a hacker can get into computers (because I am one) and installing a backdoor on your server/computers is a deadly mistake. A simple scan from a hacker in theory could uncover that backdoor, then you are screwed. Instead I would recommend that you get a physical switch that resets the root password to a prespecified number or character. Where you can get these? I am sorry to say that I do not know where. I do know that they have been made bacause one of my friends has built one for his computer, with some programming and mod experiance you could build one too. I for one will never install a backdoor on MY servers.

WineX was made to remove the uneasyness of going to the Linux platform by allowing newcomers to have all of their games on Linux, it also allows people who only single boot with Linux to be happier with their Linux machine.
