Well, try to avaoid giving any *real* info when filling out forms for those web "freebies" (like free email accounts, etc.). I've checked, doesn't look like there's any truthful info on/about me on the web:).
Just installed it here...doesn't seem to be too user-friendly. OTOH, it saves in standard file formats (rtf & html for the word processor). Also, it's GPL so maybe elements of other GPL office suites could be merged (like WordPerfect/MS Word filters).
True, but they said "tamper-proof" hardware (which is laughable, given that even if the hardware was 100% tamper-proof, the *software* drivers would be one way to attack this problem). I was thinking more along the lines of tapping the audio at the point of decryption.
All someone has to do is capture the audio stream, and then you'd have the music. As for signal degradation, I'm sure there are (or will be) ways to correct it (could someone enlighten me on how correction would be theoretically possible? I'm thinking a program that could make educated guesses on the missing bits).

That's funny...when I installed Slack 7 on another partition I had KDE as the window manager. I was impressed that they joined the 21th century (I know, it hasn't really started yet but who cares?).
I just got back from attending a graduation at University of MD, College Park. UMCP has signed a exclusitivity deal with Pepsi (no Coca-Cola machines in sight). Stuff like that scares me (what happens to freedom of choice?) However, I'm sure Coke has struck deals with colleges (I think they have one with Georgetown University, anyone care to confirm/deny?
Why doesn't my kuro5hin login work? I tried to sign up, but all I got was a blank email in reply (no password). Anybody from there reading this want to help?
You know, almost everyone thought the name "Athlon" sucked, and look where that got AMD:). I think AMD's plan is to hype the speed & performance of the chip, rather than the name (also, let's face it...the names of most of Intel's current/future offerings sound kind of sucky as well).
Have you tried using a 128-bit version of Netscape/Mozilla? We have some NT web-based resources at work that are only accessible with either IE or a 128-bit version of Netscape.
That's nothing...1 DoD installation were I contracted was using Novell, Microsoft AND Lotus (I think the Lotus was for classified/top secret email, but since I don't have a clearance I can't say for sure). Just to make things interesting, I built a Linux DNS server from left over parts laying around (AFAIK, it's still up).

I believe that the consensus is that Australia is a continent.
Guess what number three is.
I'm pretty sure that "Barbie" in a nickname for Barbara as well. I believe that's where the doll got its name.
I think it's way past time the USPTO was overhauled.
They say he was arrested and that his girlfriend is a possible accomplice.
Wouldn't that void the warranty?
(sorry, couldn't resist)
Mmmmm, dounts...
anyone see how AMD actually had a profit? (US$1.16/share).
