I find it unlikely they will transition soon as they only started transitioning to vista two years ago. But sharepoint will probably be 2013 right after they can convert data from the previous version.
I've got three for you to try out. 1) Natural-Selection 2 for 25$ (with no deal) on steam. 2) DayZ, which is a free mod for Arma II Combined Operations (Arma2+expansion) for 30$ (with no deal) on steam. 3) A slightly older game called Metro 2033 for 20$ on steam.
You can find most of the games 50% off during sales, like the one going on right now. Though, if you'd rather sit on the floor and play with a bit of string.. have at it.
I just run my init scripts after making changes. No need to reboot. But if i make changes to/boot then yeah, you'll have to reboot to check.
When you say "you aren't patching enough" you can only be talking about the kernel. Nothing else requires a reboot. Even then there is wierdness like kexec: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kexec
Seems odd that just because the arch is different that it can't host the services. It really shouldn't matter what the hardware is. But like you said, if it shipped without the services at all, then it's probably not even possible to try.
Attempts to force it's (paid) employees to accept that state. Even if the rest of the world doesn't. Kind of like how you and your friends say you smell okay but everyone else has another thought on that matter : P
Whether you agree with me or not. The title is still confidential and gov employees who shouldn't read it, still can not read it. Especially while at work.
Apps on the market that aren't usable for your device sounds terrible. Until you realize that for your pc/mac you are in the exact same position. Not every linux program will be available for windows/mac. You are coming from an environment (iOS) where it is impossible to even see something that you cannot use. That is why you didn't like it.
It doesn't sound like torture to me. It sounds exactly like normal life in the US Army. People pass out from the heat all the time, who cares. Stick them with an IV, tell them to drink more water, and drive on (unless they are showing stroke, of course). At one point i was drinking 15 liters of water a day and when i did pee it was brown and wasn't even enough to fill a coffee cup. When i took my uniform off at night it looked like a cicada shell contoured to my body from all the sweat. Oh, and i enjoyed that part!
I mean, if the army wants you to stand in a broom closet all day for years on end.. guess what? That's exactly what you'll do. It's only cruel if you don't have at least 4 hours of sleep a night, food, and water (i would also add decent pay to that list though).
Even if Manning did the morally right thing, he should still be punished for doing the legally wrong thing. Two years of waiting sounds like a long time to me but i don't know anything about courts martial.
If google is the best search then why would you want to switch to a different one?

Charging it sounds like a problem though.
What about using a cloud based product without internet?
I doubt that desktop is dead though. Could you imagine cubicle farms where everyone programs/admins from tablets? *shudders*

You need some new games : )
Software patents, eh? That's some troubled water
Yeah, because you need to be equipped with a college education to be swayed by facts instead of charisma and bullshit.

Imagine spy satellites that can return to earth for an upgrade when new tech is available : )

It's a title, not a state. Though i'm sure that's the desired state. Asshole : )
lol, actually it is STILL confidential.
lol, what percentage of gamers is that?
DMZ and play. Who cares, lol.

What browsers are they comparing there?
hahah. Domestic pacification in the United States isn't a robot helicopter with weapons. It's television!
That isn't what that link is saying. It's saying they are comparable.
It makes you think they'll be bringing out more in this general direction, right? Like setting up for a console?
Skyrocket to the exact same size as having the windows open, lol.
hahah, you aren't even thinking this through. The US is more than north & south now. Think in more than one dimension.
