    Ideology and official party affiliation are not mutually exclusive. For instance, I am a moderate libertarian, but I am not a member of the Libertarian Party.

    You know damn well that there will never be a international federacy in our life time. The nation-states would never allow it. The only off chance would be if a hegemonic power set it up, and with the advent of nuclear proliferation hegemony is nigh impossible to achieve. There won't be a world government until there is another catastrophic world war. Even that won't guarentee a world government as its unknown if anything/anyone would be left to govern after a massive nuclear war.

    Yes this is semi off topic, but talk of a federacy is ludicris given the current power structure of the world and the advantages the strong nation-states (PRC, Europe's nations, the USA, et al.) have with preserving a system that sustains the unequal distribution of power in the world.

    A judge can very easily sway a jury, with special instructions. Also, a judge can entertain motions for directed judgement and motions on the eligibility of evidence. A judge can make or break a case, even when it is a jury trial.

    No, attacking them is out of the question because they have nuclear weapons and long range missiles.
    Also, the PRC doesn't like it when we use military force on the peninsula, and they happen to have nuclear weapons, long range rockets, and satilite guidance tech for them (thank Clinton for that one).

    Having viagra and levitra commericials isnt having it both ways. They in of themselves are not obscene. You dont see penises or diagrams thereof in the commericials, and most people under age wouldnt even pay attention to the commercials.

    files swapped in irc are DCC, and the chat server takes no part in it, and doesn't log the transfer.

    Actually of in-kind donations may still put us at the top. 2 carrier groups and over 100 helicopters are quite expensive just to operate. Then theres the hospital ship. That isnt cheap either. It all depends on how long they stay in the area, but were still going to be in the top 5 donators no matter what. Thats not even counting private philanthropy.
