  1. Et tu BitTorrent!! on Long-Awaited BitTorrent 4.0 Released · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Noooooo!! not BitTorrent. As per www.bittorrent.com, the site's development was outsourced to a company called 'The GSI Group' OR may i say off-shored since 'The GSI Group' has an Indian development center.

So do you americans (let me be more specific, US citizens) stop using bittorrent and start cribbing?? OR does life continue..

  3. Glass houses.. on India's Cops Meet Technology · · Score: 4, Insightful

yup, most indian cops are still on the learning but remember the ones who do the dirty work of confiscating stuff get paid ~$100 per month and don't know anything about a computer forget internet and storage (floppy).

It would also be a wise idea to first check the tech horror stories of the 80s in the us and uk before making fun of indian cops..

if you are so much against india and the tech support that we provide then stop using these products and start using "prouly made / supported in the us" products.. don't whine.

  4. Outsourcing is not equal to off-shoring on Outsourcing Information Security · · Score: 3, Interesting

Losers.. for the nth time understand the difference between outsource and off-shore..

Where the fuck was all this anti-offshoring movement when nike / reebok was selling you cheaper shoes (made in india/china), most of your apparel is made by the asian-tigers and a third world country like bangladesh. Now that you are losing your jobs (in the IT industry) you think it's not fair??? where were you when the others were losing their jobs???

First elect a president who is more concerned for america rather than unsuccessfully being world-police. Maybe things will change for you in due time.

and once again (n+1).. Outsourcing is not equal to off-shoring

miranda on the other hand works quite nicely, btw we use jabber only (no msn/yahoo/icq/oscar support).

Unfortunately we live in such a society and patents and IP rights are required. Till we (and that means me too) improve as a society there will always be laws to govern IP rights and patents.

"IBM has transformed Linux from a bicycle to a Rolls-Royce, making it almost an enterprise-class operating system.

    Goes into overdrive..
"It took us 25 years to build our business and it took [IBM] four years simply by stealing code and then giving it away free."

    and ofcourse finally..
"Linux doesn't exist. Everyone knows Linux is an unlicensed version of Unix,"
