Define day to day activities. Playing music loud enough for anybody to hear outside your yard or yelling and screaming while playing a game is not acceptable behavior. When you get older, your hearing changes. What used to be music and voices is now noise. I don't blame the young. Your parents didn't teach you about being civil, having manners or being considerate to other, regardless of who it might be. You were taught to go out and inflict yourselves on other and that you had a right to do so. Nobody has any rights. All you have is luck and one day that will run out and you will be the old man.

Hear! Hear! It's time for both credit to be given and standards to be maintained. Credit can be given freely but maintaining standards costs money. Linux IS Linus Torvalds. Protecting Linux from those who could do it's reputation harm, is protecting his own good name. It's time to quit loving Linux the way a glutton loves his lunch and start paying so that we can have a very useful and stable OS and don't have to deal with the MS Borg. Besides, if each person had to have contributed code or money to Linux to actually get to discuss it, this conversation would drop off to near silence.

Well! There it is. The truth. A question that needs to be asked and a statement that needs to be made. I think they should start and end every news cast with that quote. I admire your way with words.

I am a Tech and I do tech work for both the company I work for and on the side. The company has no problem with this since I don't do "on the side" tech for the company's clients. Since all the tools are at the office, I'm allowed to use the company's equipment to do the "on the side" clients, just not on company time. It's too good a situation to do anything to screw it up. At the company, we charge $25 and $50, depending and this is only for cleanup, period. The company doesn't want to get into doing total tech because the paperwork wouldn't be worth it, for what we do and we make plenty just cleaning machines since we can turn over lots in a day.
I personally, do everything as a computer tech so all the rest of the money is mine and some weeks, I make as much on the side as I do at the company.
I usually charge $50, $75 and $100 from everything from installing cleaning programs and cleaning to a total "save favorites, email, etc on a disk and formatting the harddrive and reinstalling. It's extra to go to their house and if they have dialup, I won't go at all. Dialup requires them to bring it in. It would take years to download all the programs you need to do a proper job of updating Windows/MS products. I usually have the computers for a couple of days and I keep records of all monies exchaning hands. Anybody that thinks they can screw the IRS, don't know much about screwing. You do not want to be on their radar so send them their cut and be happy. It's not that difficult. Hope this helped.
