    i just started. I went to local investment club meetings and made some good contacts. I got close to people who have been doing it for years. That was a year ago. Im on house number five now. I have averaged about 20k profit for each house. Its hard work and you really have to get over the little things like...what you would like in a house and keep in mind you are not living there.

    WTF? Is your trade so much more important to the world the building a house? Where do you get off saying it would be sad if contruction type work was more valuable then code work?
    How many times has a geek been called at home at 3AM in the morning because the printer wont print?
    How many times does a plumber get called by a geek who cant fix his water heater at 3am?

    What you do is not more or less important then what someone else does. They are all things that must be done.

    Me..I was layed off almost a year ago and I dont EVER plan to work again. I now make my living buying houses and fixing them up. I make more then I did as an engineer. I will never miss my kids games or birthdays. And i get to retire in 10 years.

    At least Im sure that how the USAF see's it. You have several countries that are trying to get themselves into space. A few of which are a precieved threat to US interests. China of course comes to mind. We are at a crossroads of sorts. We are at a point where we are still the only contry that is able to put up large scale space based weapons. In five to ten years time, this will not be the case. My guess is we will put them up there and use the as leverage against other contries to insure that they do not attempt to place their own weapons in orbit. Im not saying its a good idea, im just assuming this is the pentagons thinking. I did serve in the USAF so I do have some idea of the ways in which they think.

    It would seem unlikely for other state to follow suit. I will not be surprised when this is over turned by the courts.
    It about as silly as posting a cop out side your house to make sure that the house you are going into is really yours.
    Its assuming that you are quilty of drunk driving before being convicted, which the courts should have a problem with...at least they freaken better have a problem.

    Im guessing you dont have kids. Lets say they get 10 games for the year and each games is "only" ten bucks a month as you put it. At the end of the year Im looking at 1700 bucks. Im sorry but thats not chump change to me. By the way $100 AU is $79.31 US. Oh I forgot to mention the 50 bucks a month in Cable Internet. So now were are at 2300 just for games. But hey...i guess Im a cheap bastard. ITS WRONG to rape someone with a 50 price tag on a game and then charge them just to play the damn thing. Take a look at the star wars game..50 bucks and you have to pay 20 a month to play the game AT ALL. No single player...you have to play..and its not like you can take it back...nope youre stuck buddy.

    dont except me to pay 50 bucks for the game AND pay to play online. id pay 10 to 15 max if onlinw play costs me cash. if its more....can u say filedonkey? it may be wrong but show me who can afford 50$ and 20 a month 4 every game. if pay 2 play is to work, the cost of the game must be minimal. unless youre rich, though i doubt you got rich by blowing all your money on stuff like this.

    Heck, At newegg you can get a 9800 pro card for 215 barebones and 225 retail. thats not too dang bad for one of the fastest cards out there. Plus realisticaly this gives you 1 1/2 to 2 years of gaming without having to buy a new motherboard that will support PCIe. In fact even after reading this news I still ordered my card today and I feel good about only spending 200 for the almost best.

    Trust me friends, they will be comming here. My last THREE HMO doctors were Indian. One was great, the other two....well not so much. Its far cheaper to bring them here and pay them less then it is for us to go there. Besides the whole medical scene is changing anyway...my last doctor wanted people to pay a retainer fee on top of everything else. I think not. There is something wrong when I get X-rays and a Cast and the bill is over 3 grand for less then 20 min of work. Ok..better stop talking about this, my blood pressure is going up and i cant afford our doctors.

    Its amazing to me that we all know diamonds are NOT rare at all, yet we still pay a premium for them. Anyone who watched the discovery channel knows that there are in fact HUGE stores of diamonds held back to keep the price up. I would be willing to bet that colored diamonds are not that rare at all, but are kept back in all but tiny numbers to make them seem that way. We know that DeBeers is evil. We know that deal in blood diamonds so they are certainly not above this.
    Heck ADM and its competitors were in a global plot to keep lycean (spelling) prices high for years and they weren't killing people, so just think how far DeBeers would go. \

    Assuming that the diamonds are not rare at all as most of us know, what then is the point of making them? They are only cheaper then the inflated price but would most likely be more expensive if people knew the truth about diamonds. IMHO anyways.

    This is why we need space mining, not a manned mission to mars. There has been significant progress made in the use of diamond as a semiconductor. If we would break off large bit of this we would be set for ever. Granted...its really really really far so we wouldn't be set, but our great x10^7 grand kids would be. Realistically, Im sure there are several spots right here in the closets asteroid belt that would yield similar but much smaller materials. Though why do something that would further the advancement of man when you could have a one time only manned mission to mars?

    I believe there is difference in quality when people code something because they beleive in the cause and when they are only doing it for the paycheck. The people who code for open source actually care about the code they produce IMO anyhow.
