Actually, I forecast, that since this shooting didn't involve a scary AR type rifle...that this even will drop off the news rather quickly like the last few shootings that involved shotguns, or hand guns, since those don't fit within the Anti-Gun's arguments about "full semi-auto" rifles...or "assault" rifles like the AR and its ilk.
The other really obvious factor is that people are just far less active than they used to be. Our genetics haven't adapted yet to either of those factors.

I prefer it over IM, as that it leaves more of a "paper trail" than I find that IM can do as readily.....and this comes in handy for CYA in a BIG way.
But I can deal with it more asynchronously than with IM which is very disturbing and breaks concentration.
I often either don't turn IM on or turn if off when I actually need to do work, and only turn it on for actual meetings with white boards or screen sharing that is required.

While I agree there should be more audit trails of votes, and I very much like the idea of paper ballots or something involving physically verifiable media....I'm not sure how I can see that the federal govt. can pass laws dictiating how the states run their own election processes. How does this even remotely cover "interstate commerce"?

This keeps from only 1-2 massively populous states running complete roughshod over the less populous states.

If we didn't have the electoral college, well, the country as a whole would be subservient to CA, NY and maybe 1 or two other states.

One thing the article fails to mention: animal fat tends to be high in saturated fats, which are considered not-so-healthy. Whereas plant based fats tend to be high in mono- or polyunsaturated fats, which are considered healthier than the saturated variety. This could explain some of the differences.

Given that a BA/BS is now the minimum requirement for the vast majority of entry level positions, that might not be a 'gun to the head', but it pretty much is an economic reality now.

I know a friend that is in the AC business, no college at all, and does quite well with his business. He started working hard himself, and has now grown to where he employs others to do the hot hard work while he goes out and sells and finds more work.
Some jobs may require a BS/BA...but those aren't the only jobs in the world, especially if you START YOUR OWN business.
It seems kids today expect to leave home and start at $60K or more a year...that never really happened int he past for the masses, they had to get out even after college and do some grunt work and earn their way up on pay and jobs.

I don't want to do the Denmark model either...I don't wanna pay well over half my income to the govt, for them to redistribute.
I pay at least about 33% as it is, I don't feel like I should be forced to give even more.
