Since installing SP2 on a laptop, the printouts from Treeview Pro (a directory listing program) have had every printed character flipped on its vertical axis - all the letters are in the right place but the wrong way round so - for example, all 'b's look like 'd' - it's readable but makes your brain hurt!!
One of the sites for which I am responsible has some medical diagnostic equipment that uses 5.25" HD disks for data logging.
When I was asked to source a box of diskettes a while back the only place I could find them was eBay! I dread to think what will happen when they need a new box of diskettes next year!
I used to have a 1.5V analogue quartz wall clock that was powered by a Crystal Set. With a 10m antenna, I could pull in enough power to run the thing 24/7.
Other things, such as LEDs and small motors, used to get hooked up to the set too.
I also found a 1930s radio speaker in a junk shop - it was in a walnut case and included a multi-tapped transformer to give the speaker numerous effective impedances from 3.4 Ohms all the way up to 2K Ohms. Set on 2K Ohms, the crystal set was easily as loud as a small battery-powered AM radio.
I have a (non-Kensignton) laptop cable with a 4 digit combination lock. During one boring stay overnight in a hotel I discovered that if I pulled the removable locking mechanism (as if I was legitimately removing it) and twisted the number rings I could FEEL when the right numbers were in place. After about 15 minutes of practice I could remove the lock with my eyes shut in about 10 seconds. I verified this with my wife's lock - same type, bought at the same time. I use mine as a vidual deterrent only now!
Perhaps the real purpose of receiving your token is to say "Thank you, your payment for the token has cleared. Sincerely, Verisign"?
Youngster!
So no control console for a operator? Am I missing something here then?
Now all we need is a new release of their Web site that has some screen shots for those taking a passing interest!
Don't you know that a 'factoid' is an INCORRECT fact?
Darn CNN: Here comes the science.
Make that TreeSIZE professional

Does anyone have a weirder SP2 effect?
I think you mean "Digital Millennium Candy Act"?
...YES YES, I know the first transistors were made from germanium - sue its ass off too then
In the USA, the plaintiffs would have sued (in no particular order):
The kid
The kid's parents for creating the kid
The hospital where the kid was born for successfully delivering the kid
The periodic table for including silicon
Bell Labs for inventing the transistor
Fairchild and Texas Instruments for inventing the Integrated Circuit
Intel for the X86range of processors (unless he developed on a Mac?)
The PC manufacturer for creating the weapon
The PC supplier for supplying the weapon
The electricity utility co. for supplying power for the weapon
Every ISP and network provider on the Internet for carrying the payload
McDonalds because the coffee they spilt when they noticed they'd been infected was too hot

I understand it translates into a portion of code that proves prior art and blows the SCO case clean out of the water.

I do because I have a 4-year-old son. All his games and music CDs and DVDs are backed up and he gets to keep/use the copies.
Tons, but remember to let them dry out before adding them to the furnace.

Before you make such incorrect statements about Pfizer's involvement with the V1agr@ ads you should do some basic research.
According to recent news articles, Pfizer are playing an active role in trying to close down as many of these spammers as possible.
I suppose you might be one of the "25% of men [who] believed that Pfizer was responsible for sending the Viagra-themed spam."
...My consumer-grade printer has the traditional CMYK (cyan magenta yellow blacK)..."
Erm, that's Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key.
Your Key colour is black.
Yours pedantically...etc.
Should've called it U-RUN-NIX (ie: 'nix' = nothing)
"...the Starter Edition allows only three applications to be run concurrently..."
That'll be a couple of SSH terminal sessions and some FTPing then - enough to manage your Linux servers running some decent apps!
I just posted a reply further down the thread about this - I can do complete 4 digit laptop combination locks in about 15 seconds now, by feel.
