On a less pithy note, would it be that hard for EMI to make an agreement with Apple such that, if you have the CD in the drive, you can buy the iTunes version for free? Or you could always package the album with a certificate code that can be used to buy the album for free on iTunes. Both of those seem like relatively easy solutions.
And, finally, on an inquisitive note, does this software also install on OS X? Or is this a Windows only gimping?

Will there necessarily be driver support for anything in your new Dell configuration under Windows 98?
Very possibly not.
Hell, I remember when I tried to take a Gateway laptop back from Windows Me to Windows 98 - total disaster. There was no display driver in existence for it under 98.
So this argument overstates the case rather dramatically.
Why is Ogg Vorbis format so good if it requires such extensive resources to play? Particularly when the most popular digital audio player doesn't support it?
This, to me, is evidence of the problems with Ogg Vorbis, not of problems with the iPod...
Seems perfectly timed to coincide with MacWorld. So that's two announcements we know about now - Tiger and the 60 GB iPod. Wonder what the surprise will be. 3.0 G5s? G5 notebooks? iPonies?
Gamecube is only third if you believe that America is the world.
I'm not sure why you list Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow as XBox games, considering that both went cross platform. Nor am I sure why KOTOR counts, what with the PC and Mac versions. But I'll grant you, Crimson Skies is an XBox game.
Of course, Halo isn't even an XBox only game anymore, so you're still down to one game even after that list.
OK. Now how much of that re-airs at different times, allowing you to get it without further expenditures on extra tuners? (Clue: Bravo and History channel are both extremely likely to. TechTV, SCICH, and Spike are all somewhat likely to.
But they're all analog... you can optionally buy a single digital tuner. But, really... why? How is someone ever going to find seven shows they want to watch at once in general, little yet if they're limited to the analog band?

The tone of the Silicon Knights deal suggested to me that they'd gotten a really good offer to do one game for some other platform, and that this required a suspension of their exclusivity agreement. And that both they and probably Nintendo were compensated well for this.
Perhaps they were taken onboard for work on another Metal Gear game.
The other thing about DVDs is, frequently, I've either previewed the movie by watching it in the theatres, or renting the DVD. I don't have to make the $15-20 purchase blind.
The number of ways to hear a whole album before you buy it are much mor elimited.
I dunno, I think the Digital Millenium Copyright Act probably deserves to be counted as a part of copyright law.
I mean, there's plenty of good arguments for the use of PlayFair. But fair use isn't one of them. Because fair use is a legal category. When talking about legal categories, you cannot simply ignore the laws you don't like.
So let me just get this straight. Because Apple won't support your choice of OSes, and it's fair use to break their DRM, even though copyright law actively defines that as not being legal, and thus, by definition, not being fair use?
And you guys wonder why you're reviled by so much of the tech sector?
It's a list of important. Or, more to the point, it's a list of games with important and unique features. So I take it that the reason Castlevania was left off was that there was nothing especially unique to it - it was merely really good. Similarly, no one actually argues that the first Mega Man is the best.
In that spirit, I'd offer Lode Runner or Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle as a variation on the sidescroller/platformer that really works, but isn't mentioned.
Actually, American Idol is their premiere network show. 24 also beats The Simpsons in the ratings, as does The OC and That 70s Show. My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance also beat The Simpsons.
No more than putting an album on iTunes and not on Napster.
Go to iTunes music store.
Buy album.
Put on iPod.

The benefit of open source is supposed to be that it leads to better formats.
In this case, it's apparently led to a format that's not usable on the most popular audio player.
This is not a great success of open source.

Hm.
Educational computing? (Have a look sometime at how many people at your local college have iBooks)
Multimedia work?
They're at the forefront of plenty of areas that they've been aggressively targetting for years. ~~~~

And, obviously, no HD capabilities either.

If it weren't for my iPod, and the fact that I then upgraded to Macs entirely, I would have stuck with WinAmp for my mp3 playing.
Why?
Simply put, my directory structure is an easier and more customizable audio organizer than id3 tags can ever be.
And here we have why I'm in the process of switching to Macs. (Just waiting for some things to ship)
I'm tired of every single solution to a problem on XP being a kludge.

The article seems to suggest A9 as a Google killer.
Somehow, I don't think that the Google killer will license Google's search.
Only, you know, not. Where are the buttons on the right? Am I still using phone buttons?
I don't see any evidence of a game slot. Still removing the battery?
I also don't see any evidence that Nokia has got a clue what they're doing, actually.
Nope, I'm guessing a bust.

I think it would, what with the largely having stood up in court and all.
One in five?
That's a really misleading number, considering that the job loss due to outsourcing is something around 2.8%.

Lunch Lady Doris's recent appearances, however, have been rather curtailed by her death in 1996. =/
10 million people last Sunday, actually.
