    I don't know if you ever used wine for gaming, but I certainly wouldn't call it flawless, or even close. Running non-native games on a phone sounds awful!

    Now name popular games for linux not made by ID Software or ported by Loki..

    Then I can play REAL games on my phone.. Or as real as they get in Linux!

    Drivers barely work in windows as is, like adding ARM and variants to the mix will help at all.

    Not to mention getting software compiled to run on it, developers won't like it at all. Adding a compatibility layer for x86 apps would defeat the point.

    Just buy a Nokia N8x0. I am willing to bet you can pick up an n800 for well under $200. The N810 is a bit more but has a slideout qwerty keypad. Its a nice web browser, or portable video screen with great battery life.

    Lets stop reinventing the wheel and use what hardware and software is already out there!
