You don't have the right to pretty much anything on twitter, a private service offered for free use. They can decide on their policy for the use of their service.
That is as informative as a listing of alphabetical letters in the correct order. Basic, basic stuff. Plus the crazy inclusion of GPL v3 to confuse matters even more. Nothing in your post shed any light at all on why companies like apple are avoiding GPL v3. Its the patent and anti tivo provisions. I guess some genius will upvote this post as informative as well. Oh my god what has become of thee oh slashdot. News for idiotic peoples who think they are nerds.
Ok, we someone here who's never paid attention in a hospital. There are life saving computerized machines that doctors and nurses use to keep people alive. Since they are critical, they are pass worded. which creates this delema. Some of those have manual backups that will work, but not as well reducing good outcomes. Some just don't because computers are better at stuff than humans. And don't believe the bs on tv where doctors "Improvise" when machines fail and create their own solutions that no one has ever thought of. That never happens and would be a horrible lawsuit waiting to happen.
How is that a point? LIving in a totaltarian state with real punishments for expressing disapproval of the government is better because, you know the consequences of your actions?!? As opposed to living in a country where limited secretive spying goes on, with out any measurable crack down on descent?
Its like admiring a serial killer for having the courage to act on his convictions, as opposed to a man that cheats on his wife but doesn't leave her.
You misunderstood his comment. He was expressing disappointment that using tobacco ("previously darwinian habits ") didn't result in death as often due to modern medical advances.
Trust me it will be auto correct on steroids. Screen shots will show up in divorce proceedings.
Although on the other hand, for those of us that can't stand small talk over text, its a god send. Sure, lets reply to small talk as if I'm good at doing that. It will be a protection against actually trying to explain in depth how my day went.
Who says he hasn't ? The blockchain. Pfft, The smart strategy with an investment expected to gain over time, is not to reduce principle, but to borrow against it at a rate lower than the rate of return you get on the investment.
This is why rich guys will often finance their sports cars, at like 0-1% interest, because their principle is making 7%.
You are saying all the right things, I left over dice ownership. I couldn't take it anymore. Well, I'll keep my eye on slash and contribute in comments as things come up. I have no idea on how you expect slashdot to make much dinero, but good luck to you. It seems like you have the best of intentions.
Oh, there is all kinds of "special" in that post. To call that racisim, is to completly ignore the insanity of that babble and actually take it serious. The guy isn't right in the head.
Wait, so you think if they lower the price of tickets to the stadium, they'll get *more* money from tv contracts?
Or did you not follow the thread? Maybe you thought I was suggusting that I knew the precise finacials of all NFL teams, and forsaw that a drop in ticket revenue would send them all into red ink? Because that would be really dumb. They'd make less money than they do today, if they lowered the ticket price. That's what this argument was about. The vast majoirty of teams sell out ever game at current prices. It makes no finacial sense for them to lower the prices. Tickets on Stub Hub go for 2 - 3 times face value.
Possibly. When teams come close to not selling out, large companies like local tv stations that carry the games will buy up tickets and give them away to underprivileged children. If the game sells out, they can air the game and sell ads. If it doesn't, they can't.
Sure it is. Not buying Team A's apparel, and always buying Team B's is discrimination.
Also, have you followed politics lately? People self identify with the "team" regardless of the actual policies. Just like you might always like Team B, regardless of the players or tactics used.

Wow slashdot sucks these days.

I don't know the Bill Gates you're referring to. The one I know is an asshole, with an ego on par with Ellison's. But yeah, he helps people
I think the point here was to sell the fancy expensive firewalls. to monitor for suspicious "linux activity".
Not sure if you're joking, but it doesn't work that way.
All ubuntu stuff goes through the window subsystem for linux ( a linux to windows syscall translator). It doesn't go through "bash"
No, its mental illness. I've seen it too much in loved ones, I hope he gets help.
In all seriousness, You need help. Please reach out to a mental health clinic.

Fedora is where you will find the best Gnome experience. Either that or arch.
F yea! I'll be removing the black hole I had set up in my dns for Sourceforge in due time.

After this comment, there is no further need for discussion.

Of course they don't have lobbyists. They have near totalitarian governments.
Seriously, it would still be gouging even if they gave you twice the amount of liquid posted. Complaints about the volume are kind of pointless.
Its like the old catskills joke:
Old Lady: The food there was terrible!
Old Man: Yeah! And such small portions!
if the stadium stays the same price, and they drop prices, they can't sell any more tickets. They will lose money.

Some forms are illegal. Some are not.
There is nothing prohibiting this:
Bus driver: "Everyone must sit on the back"
Guy wearing RedHot Chili Peppers shirt:"Then why is the guy with a phish shirt sitting in the front?"
Bus driver: "We simply don't enforce it on phish heads."
Or this
Bus driver: "Everyone must sit on the back"
Young healthy guy:"Then why is the old woman with a broken leg sitting in the front?"
Bus driver: "We simply don't enforce it on old women with broken legs"
