  1. Re:They could deal with an actual problem instead. on ICANN Moves To Disable Domain Tasting · · Score: 1

Is there a newsletter the registrar's get every moth with names of know criminals? I don't know who they would get this information. I'm sure its out there but how easy is it to collect all of this information?

Plus if you do have this list of known criminals that should not be able to register domain names, how do you allow someone else with a similar name to? First and Last Name combo's are not unique. Just take a look at all of the problems we've had with false positives for the No fly list. If I was on that jury that was trying to convict the registrar of negligence, I'd need to see some more direct evidence showing that it was practical for them to screen criminals, and that it was part of their responsibilities.

Do any registrars check any data you give them that is not required to process your payment? As far as I know, none of them do criminal back ground checks, or require your information to be accurate.

My senator is too busy running for president, the other one is too busy running the senate. Even when the candidate was a freshman, he was too busy to take calls from a previous boss. Didn't even say " we're looking at the situation", just "The senator declines to speak with you on this matter". And that was on an issue of international security. Sorry for being cynical, maybe other states have less involved senators that have time to pretend to care about important issues.

Yahoo bought MusicMatch ( and killed it ;( ) which was the best jukebox until itunes. I think they definitly should have included intel in that list, If they hadn't of increased processor speeds and added multimedia extentions to the processors none of this illegal buisness would be possible.

Note: sarcasm tags included as some people are sarcastically impaired I've learned. On a Sarcasm enhanced browser, the tags will result in a pie thrown in the readers face, to let them know its a joke.

Uhmm... Nqdiddles ( if that is your real name). I received dengue in Haiti ( the poorest nation in the western hemisphere). Like I think I might have said in my first post, people worry about malaria, not dengue. Malaria has a much higher mortality rate. Its often difficult to tell the difference between the two, but when people develop symptoms of either disease, they hope is dengue. Maybe, due to the lack of doctors, they just assume every death from the symptoms is from malaria.

I am not a doctor and only speak from my experience working with very poor people.

My university taught primarily in ada. Horrible language, it really did handicap the students. As seniors they were still writing command line programs that asked the user to space pad their input. What was I the physics major who had avoided the cs department like the plague doing? Just writing a multidimensional action minimizer complete with 3d graphing engine in C. Yeah Ada sucks. I will say however that they did switch to Java after I left. I think that was probably an improvement, but I do agree that it makes students lazy. But at least they aren't fighting the language.
