If they are constantly talking about a war on religion, then I say give them one. Religion is a blight on humanity that breeds stupidity and conflict, and it should be stamped out with extreme prejudice.
Unfortunately I also think that it would be about as effective as the other "War on X"s.
I think you're reading into the OP a little too closely. He is not asking about saving his game code, he is talking about saving data in general from a catastrophe.
In other words, his efforts to keep his own important data safe lead him to think about what steps would be needed to save the *really* important data.
As I read that document I find a LOT of good, common sense ideas that I agree with. However, there is just too much crazy dogmatic crap going with the good stuff to even think about endorsing them.
I attended Space Camp back in 1983 (almost 30 years ago? damn...), was by far one of the most interesting and fun things I've done. I'd love to go again with my son, but don't think he'd have the same interest as I did (he's more jock than nerd). He's almost the same age I was back then too.
I mean, the ones from Mars only need a recording of Tom Jones to defeat them, but you need three juvenile delinquents to defeat The Tripods. Everyone knows that.
Except you... Martians are defeated by Slim Whitman.
If god is real, I am pretty sure I don't want to meet him, given all the crap that happened over the course of history in his name. He must be either evil or incompetent.
Religion is a huge prank played on humans by space aliens.
I wanted to ask for a spacex tee shirt for fathers day, but all I can find is a couple IP violators, people ripping off newswire photographers, that kind of product. Their might be "real" shirts out there... where? I would think a tastefully done black tee shirt sold directly by spacex to wealthy/.ers could be a significant funding source for their operation. Well, honestly all it would probably pay for is free donuts and coffee on Friday, but I'd feel cool contributing to that too.
Yet, you have to protect the people living in these states. I'm in South Carolina. If South Carolina seceeded- I'd hate to see what kind of government we would end up with.
The Federal government balances things out and protects me from the idiocy that is State government. The federal government protects me. South Carolina would not. I suspect the same is true for Texas, Tennassee, Georgia, etc- there is a large percent of the population who are not idiot bible-thumpers. There are people in those states who are not racist, religious bigots, etc.
We not wish to be subject to the theocrats in our states - just because the other states don't like the majority in our states that ARE theocrats.
Federalism balances out the extremes and helps protect the middle.
Then you and the rest of the non-thumpers need to stand up for yourselves and tell those idiots to stick their theocracy where the sun doesn't shine. Until then, you will be lumped in with them.
Obama did not reverse course on GITMO. He issued an Executive Order to close it. Congress voted overwhelmingly (far in excess of veto override numbers) to not fund desired closure.

A lady physics prof who looks like that at 50? Hotness indeed.
It is guaranteed that there will be remarks...
What the hell?
Are you all twelve or are some of you thirteen yet?
Get off my lawn and take your adolescent misogyny with you!
If my 12 year old son acted that way I'd be kicking his ass.

Speed limiters will be standard in all new cars in just a few years. At most 5.
I doubt that. Can't lose the revenue from speeding tickets.
Lets not forget Sara Jean Underwood.
No, I can safely say that that will not be a problem. *drool*
Minnesota is the new florida
Oh shit I hope not. I couldn't deal with the increased stupid...
Then that is their own failing. Like him or not, let's give Obama hell for the things that he actually does, and not go apeshit over made up bullshit.

That's true enough, but unfortunately the few exceptions to "beautiful, intelligent, sane; pick two" that I've found are already taken. :-X
There is no such thing as a sane woman. Some are more so than others, but it is a universal constant.
The more you try to hide something, the more attention it will attract.

This is America, we like paying more for less. /sarcasm
Hell, she's got my vote.

18 years from 1994, which was when he had pledged to retire.
Better slow and clumsy than completely useless.
Redhead ladies get a an automatic +1 on my 1 to 10 scale (yes, some literally turn it up to 11) :D
