    Weren't those called eyeballs on the first TSA person you run into? They wave the magic UV wand over your ID to make sure it's valid, then study the boarding pass, then the ID again, then look at you, scribble something on it, and then tell you to have a nice day.

    The Megafortress was only a small selection of B-52s, so the upgrades could be done on only a few rather than all planes at a much more reasonable cost.

    MA (and other states probably do this as well) has a safe-harbor amount in the tax return based off your AGI to cover out-of-state purchases. Any major purchases over $1000 has to be listed separately and pay the full sales tax on, but the safe-harbor covers purchases I made in other states or via Amazon.

    CPU-based encryption is hard, but there's ports like HPN-SSH that works to keep the connection fast while making sure the authentication still happens in a secure manner.

    My team maintains a system that has a few hundred people logged in at any time, both for interactive connections to our HPC cluster, but also to send data in and out. All of it goes over SSH and the CPUs are rarely breaking a sweat to keep up - it's usually the storage that is lagging.

    Nobody of any consequence in the Democratic Party has said that Capitalism has failed in general. Parts of the organizations that make up the model have certainly failed, but capitalism as a concept and economic model works fine provided everyone plays fairly.

    That's making assumptions that may not be true. My brother is married, has two kids and likes travelling. Those are discussions that are better held via the application (travel required), phone screen, or interview process.

    That's incorrect. You are allowed to know, but not ask.

    If someone volunteers that they're married and has kids, I can know that, but I can't ask their marital status or home life.

    I have seen people put that information on their resumes.

    Anyone know a nice pro-science, individual rights, fiscally responsible, small government oriented party out there? It would also be nice if they could also ignore gay marriage, contraception, abortion both pro or con, and also just about every other distracting hot button issue out there. It would be nice if they simply had a government that worried about balancing a budget for a change.
