There is MacWorld San Fransico in January, Tokyo in March and New York in July. There is sometimes a Paris/Europe show in the fall but it has been infrequent for various different reasons the past years.
No one is talking about the player. Sure you can use your Windows Media Player to play content streamed from a Darwin streaming server since it serves all types of MPEG as well as Quicktime.
This is not entirely correct. You can stream Quicktime and MPEG (including MPEG-1,2,3&4 and mp3). So any media viewer that can play those types you can use to view the content stream.
So the mother has an ailment which means by the time she is 40 she will become senile. The child will just be 10 years old at that point. How is a senile mother supposed to raise a 10 year old child? Once again selfishness of the parent seems to have won out over long term best interests for the child.
Wow! They did something like this at my school too and it seems to have caught on across the whole state. They call them signs here.
I wonder if anyone has patented this yet?;)

I'd rather be shot with a self coterizing laser versus a heavy lead slug that rips through me and creates a shock wave such the exit wound is 20x the entry wound. Now that would be cruel and unusual.
MPEG4 is based off QuickTime with Apple playing a major role in its development.
You are also confusing codecs or players with QuickTime. MPEG is a codec, Windows media has is wma codec and player...QuickTime is a Media Layer providing all the necessary tools to deal with hundreds of formats and just as many codecs supporting wide ranges of playback and presentation options not just limited to audio, video, graphics, vector graphics, VR...
I could got on, but instead you should go read up at on specifics here.
Because the cheap labor and materials outweights the shipping costs. Labor, materials and taxes in Manchester, NH are only going to add to the item's cost.
Don't forget ProjectBuilder for MacOS X. It's a complete Java 2 IDE (for OOC as well), powerful, slick as hell and easy to use...it's also free with Mac OS X.
So let me get this straight, by following the precedent set by all the recent media lawsuits, the public is not supposed to decide what, when or how they want to listen to or watch something. Instead they can only get it crammed down their throats by media companies.
On a side note, what is the difference between this commercial advance and fast forward?
Ugh oh, my VCR from 1988 and my cassette deck from 1982 are horrible devices brought about only to destroy media companies. Oh wait, media companies are bigger and more powerful than ever? You don't say...
Don't get me wrong and mod me down as flamebait...I love this haxie and have a registered copy.
/. this article is basically an advertisement you have posted here...
But c'mon
"Award winning"? I'd be very interested to know what awards this won. Not to mention the contributor, "Slava", is the programmer who wrote this.

And you have links or books or paper titles and authors to back up your baseless statements?

It's a well kept secret...kind of in the same boat as Apple's WebObjects.
I believe it was meant as a joke, at least light-hearted. Lighten up.
You can browse Windows (Samba) shares using OS X.
Yes I guess that is what I am saying. Call me old fashioned but natural selection coupled with selflessness decisions I believe are the best way.
They weren't embryos. They were unfertilized eggs from the mother who carried the gene.

Oh and let me guess... you're French?

Have you tried Office v.X under Mac OS X? Beats the Windows version hands down in speed, features, and prettiness.

Then why did they build their factory in Manchester, NH, USA?!?!?! Couldn't get further away from Asia if you tried.
4? What 4? ;-) Just had to do it...
I urge anyone interested in Chinese language support to check out OS X(tier 2 language support). The Chinese site is here.
This was carried over into OS X and its Quartz graphics layer since its inception.
