This might sound extreme, but it's not as bad as it sounds: mutilate your fingers. Just take a razor blade and *gently* cut off your skin where your fingertips are. This shouldn't hurt at all, you don't want to go deep. The result will be a bald finger with no prints. Your fingertips will be a little sensitive while they heal for a week or two.
I'm able to play HD video on my netbook, and it has a shitty VIA 1.2Ghz processor AND video card! Not to mention that it has a higher resolution than typical netbooks. Stupid story.
The only reason the ipad is not a general-purpose computing device is because Apple won't let you treat it as one. The thing has a decent processor, memory, storage space, screen, network, input and output, and an operating system. The thing is a locked down computer. If it weren't locked down, you'd be able to install whatever you want on it and treat it like a computer!
Well that was the controversy, nobody knew what DECAF was supposed to do. Their site only made vague claims of blocking cops from using COFEE to get information off of your computer.
This is the system working, and while it's not the best it does serve a function. These big law firms sue big companies that wronged consumers to make money for themselves while the consumer gets little back. The upside? Without this kind of arrangement big companies would screw consumers a lot more than they do now because they wouldn't have to fear financial punishment for doing the wrong thing.
It's like if you ate some normal food, but a mad scientist tricked your brain into adding the "I didn't like this" flag to it while you were eating it. At the time, your emotion was a pleasantly eating some food, but later, when you encounter the food again, you feel repulsed by it, remembering it from before as being notably unpleasant.
Sounds like my experience with a bottle of Southern Comfort.
Starcraft may be a very old game, but it's still patched and actively maintained. A better measure would be to test an old unsupported game, like maybe System Shock 2.
My family recently moved to a tankless water heater. Where I had instantly hot water before, the new water heater made me wait 5 minutes with the shower on full blast hot to get it to an acceptable temperature. So much for being "green".
There's a cool show on the History channel called "The Universe". They have very intelligent and interesting people talking about science while entertaining with mind-blowing cgi graphics. Check it out.
I've seen the problem you describe where players on the same LAN cause a LOT of lag. I get around this by having my 3 other friends in my house connect using seperate public IP addresses.
Why is everyone making such a big deal about writing Fahrenheit 451? I saw the movie and it was terrible! It had the worst green-screen special effects I have ever seen.
But the flip side is you might recall back to what video was like before Flash. Every freaking web site you went to had a different video standard, video player, and you were usually forced to launch a video player which either wasn't integrated in the browser or was integrated badly.
I remember this being a problem, this was back when I was using Windows 98. Nowadays I use Linux and mplayer handles any video you can throw at it. I really wish the videos on the web would go back to how they were since my system and many others are now equipped to handle lots of different video formats.
I thought this was kind of suspect when I first learned of the ACLU as well, but it stopped being an issue when I realized there was a different large group dedicated to protecting the second amendment and related issues: the NRA.
Programming for any extended time on a netbook sucks, I've done it. While I got used to the small keyboard, the small screen is a giant pain. The entire netbook with the lid open sits below the bottom of my monitor, forcing you to hunch over to the screen to get close. Try borrowing somebody else's netbook first and reading Slashdot for an hour on it before you commit to buying one.
Thank you for not affiliating with espn360.com. They're trying to extort ISPs into paying them to allow your customers (me) to view their content. This isn't right and is against the spirit of the open internet. I would be angry if I found that my ISP payed for such a useless thing, resulting in a higher bill or a reduction in services. Again, thank you for not paying espn360.com I love DSLextreme and recommend it to all my friends, keep up the great work!
Penn calls them "Baby twisting motherfuckers" because in the episode of Bullshit, a chiropractor performs his service on an infant.

Here's how I block flash: Never install it in the first place.
It's foolproof and works on all sites!

I would love it if Ford started repossessing cars that have stickers on them.

This isn't F/OSS. This is a message board on the internet. Browse at 0 and you'll see that this thing called the internet has stuff worse than sexism.

Not only does this market exist, but it thrives without the need for patents to protect one vendor from the other.
Mormons aren't as conservative as you think:
Utah buys the most online porn.

I can't fix their site, I can only avoid it.
"A side note, they seem to work perfectly fine in Linux" (with the proprietary Flash plugin).
I did as well, here's what I sent:

When can we expect the xscreensaver graphics hack to draw our images?
