When I met John Terpstra at the Southern California Linux Expo, I bought the book and had him sign it. He was wearing a Caldera jacket that I asked about. He smiled at me and said "I'm actually trying to sell it, would you like to buy it?" We shared a good laugh.
John Terpstra working for SCO is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard of. Did you foget that Samba shot back at SCO for being such pricks and hypocrites?
Airports suck.
But now what am I referring to? The Apple Airport? A generic access point? Wifi in general? Or am I referring to an actual airport? Nobody knows because of your fanboyism.
That's simply not true. I block Internet Explorer from my apache server and look at the logs every now and then. Suprise Suprise: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3"
Come on, I'm sure that that's not true. I use the word bitch around my work all the time: "It was a bitch to get it working" "It was a bitch to get the spyware and viruses removed" etc.
If you are offended by that, you're probably PMSing or something:p
I was talking to my boss that uses Intel motherboards and Intel processors only and he said that he would never buy another AMD chip again since he received a shipment of bad chips. I think it was a very popular bug that a lot of the chips sufferred from at the time of K-II's.
I told him that AMD is currently leading the way in speed, price, and even technology, but he insisted that he'll wait for Intel to make a chip that compares.
That would be the best course of action, because then the lazy bastard would have to ask somebody to put Solitaire back on the computer. Or he would go and download his own little games and fuck up Windows with spyware.
They'll "fork" gcc because of the change. I read an article here that states OpenBSD isn't going to feature newer versions of Apache because of "licensing changes", they will only provide bug fixes.
MAC addresses are changed simply with one common command. You aren't a Linux user, are you? I wrote the command into my startup script ever since my college banned my laptop's MAC address.
If you won't get in trouble and don't have administrator on a work computer, you can install Firefox in My Documents. It works extremely well that way as a completely unpriviledged user. You can install themes and extensions too. I recommend it to those trapped at work;)
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get SuSE installed without getting hit by worms? You need to get online to get the patches, and as soon as I do my computer reboots! I should also mention that I am against routers because of religious belief.
Just use a simple gui tool like Ark or probably file roller to do it. Or write a simple shell script and call it "extract"
/dev/null && echo $TYPE | grep tar &> /dev/null; then :)
#!/bin/bash
TYPE=`file $1`
if echo $TYPE | grep bzip &>
tar xvjf "$1"
else if....
fi
Simple stuff
YOU are AWESOME. :)
I just wanted you to know that in case you didn't.

Meanwhile, us poor Linux users have to keep downloading music for free, poor us.
Speaking of correct HTML, did anyone else notice that their new site validates completely?

Not playing half my music collection is not a feature that makes an ipod easier to use. I'd never trade anything for an ipod.
(and yes I do encode everything to ogg)
I do. So there.
Here is the code he wrote:

slashdot removes the EOT because it's in brackets
Fuck the Itunes music store altogether, it's bad for musicians: http://downhillbattle.org/itunes/
Please pick something better for a hardware hacking icon, that orange 3 to 2 pin electricity adapter thing implies electricity too much.
How about an icon involving a pci card and glue?

You won't read your emails, or you won't be a *nix or Mac user, period.
"Commercially available software makes it easy to alter digital photos,..."
Oh, so you're saying that The Gimp isn't user friendly? Flame on, motherfucker!
What we all want to know is if they were laughed out court like every slashdotter had predicted :)
An eon is metric. What's a guy to do?

Sco is really fucked anyway.

Did anyone else read the title as "Hebrew Games..."?

I'm kidding, but seriously, download the torrent
