However, you are far more correct about treason/Manning than I am ( thanx for info ). In particular, purposeful intention to harm America is required. They were not able to apply treason charges on the Goldbergs. So yeah, interesting.

Snowden is interesting in that he originally spoke about nsa employees that went to far, and nsa systems that did not block such heinous actions. For that, he deserves a medal. The problem is, that he went on speaking about items that nsa was not just legal on, but set up to do. NSA job is to spy on foreign soils against would be enemies. To be fair, nsa went too far on that ( spying on British and German leaders? WTF were the thinking ). BUT, that did not give Snowden any rights to speak out about legal items. As such, he deserves 2 between the eyes.

Actually, nothing reasonable about your posting. The fact is, if you add lots of heat, i.e. energy, to a system, esp a weather system, you will change it. Our weather IS going to become more extreme, but another part of the issue is that weather systems will move. Hurricanes are mostly from South Carolina to Venezuela. Now, we are very likely to see it commonly run from New York(sometimes Maine ) to Spain (sometimes France ) down to Brazil . In addition, we should see a lot more hurricanes hitting CA, possibly all the way to San Francisco. These areas are not built for hurricanes. And most home in tornado alley are built to handle 200 mph, but will likely soon see close 300 mph. The home we built can withstand that( 2x6 studs), maybe, and I am willing to bet that less than 1% of other homes in tornado alley can do that.

  13. Of course the hurricanes are more destructive. we are adding more heat, i.e. energy to our weather system. That means more and more powerful hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, etc. It also means with added heat, that clouds will carry more water. If an area does not cool down enough, then no rain, i.e longer droughts. Otoh, where places get rain will see a great deal more rain/snow. Places will undergo massive changes. China will likely lose all of their arable lands, though, they are building massive diversionary dams in the Himalayan mountains to steal the water from Pakistan, India, and southeast Asia. At the same time, America's west, including CA valley, will likely be lost due to drought as well.

  18. Normally, I do not answer AC, but you are my personal Chinese troll.

When it comes to R&D, VW does not even come CLOSE to what Tesla has been investing.
More importantly, most of legacy R&D's budget continues to go into ICE, and NOT EVs. Tesla is 100% into EVs, which is why Tesla is ahead in EVERYTHING, except for the actual manufacturing. However, M3 is the most automated , and I suspect that MY will put that to shame.

As to VW or any of these car makers, the EVs continue to be pure junk. The reason why is that if they were any good, they would outsell, not only Tesla (which none do), BUT, would actually outsell the ICE POS (slow, expensive to own, etc) that legacy car makers push. And as Tesla says, we should ALL hope that the legacy car makers will go to the EVs, instead of continuing to push ICE.

  19. It was not the price that attracts those ppl. It is a fact that it was designed to take on and destroy the luxury ICE sedans, and the M3 does it all the way around.
Superior in safety, speed, luxury, track handling, etc.
This is why all of the luxury ICE sedan sales are falling where MS/M3 are sold, and why the resale values of used luxury ICE sedans that once were tops, are plummeting just as fast, while MS (and early indications that M3 are included) resale value are tops.

It looks like it can be pushed to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and travel a quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds without any mods. ... Last month, Musk said that Tesla Model 3 Performance’s 0-60 mph time could improve to under 3.3 seconds with even better tires.

Of course, at the track, the model 3 is being improved to take on and beat Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc.
Of course, the $35,000 Model 3 has yet to show up, but then again the $37-40K Kona is not out either.

As to the other that you list, you have to be kidding. Nissan/Renault started much later than Tesla and has pure junk. Same with BYD.

However, the real issue with that, is that China's real goal is to stop importing oil so they are not dependent on other nations. That way, they can attack Taiwan and deal with a 5+ year war. The problem is, that the west has helped them.
