So, if IBM and Oracle picked 2 companies EACH, while Ubuntu and redhat picked one company each, to help port their apps to Linux, then in one to two years, there would be 6-12 new major apps for Linux. How much easier would it be for these companies to increase sales? I would think MUCH easier.

I have no issues with either Konqi or Firefox on banks. But when Apple was having problems with Safari and the banks, they DID go in and talk QUIETLY to the banks (as well as doing other encouragements). Smart on their part.

In addition, in stores, NEVER EVER use a debit card. They are horrible. Sadly, about half of the CC processors do use Windows, but at least it is my CC (which hold the company responsible) unlike my debit card (which is fully my responsibility).
Until the OS is locked down, it will simply be replaced by a new bot. Computer owners MUST start taking responsibilities for their choices. If somebody's CC and retirement account is chosen because they chose an insecure OS, than let them live with it.

I have been surprised that Western shipbuilders are not designing new cargo ships with nuclear power. I would think that at this time, it would be considered the cheapest form of shipping down the road.
