I wish there was some way of proving it is really him. I do know he is definately into the whole forum scene. He made several appearances in teh PlanetGamecube forums and the staff confirmed it was him....I still wish we had better proof..:)
I wouldn't call it damning of modern games. Mario Bros 3 is thought of by many as the best game ever created. Also, wario ware is one of the most original games every created it its simple and addicting execution. I'd say it alone is a big Hurrah! for modern gaming.
Does anyone know how the two new Kingdom Hearts games fit into the story line....Obviously Kingdom Hearts 2 is the sequel, but where does the GBA game fit in?
Didn't nintendo have something similar to the eye toy at E3? like a game where using a camera would map your face on the characters? I'm so confused...
I really think its the context of the violence that needs to be looked at. I for one feel that a game like Wind Waker, or the more gorey Eternal Darkness aren't bad, even though they are quite violent in their own right. I think a 10 year old (if the gore doesn't "damage" them) can play a good violent game in which the violence is a stance against "evil" and come out a better person. Violence in games can help instill morals into youngsters in my opinion. If a video game child is getting beat on, and the human controlled video game hero knocks the crap out of the one hurting the child, i think it does more good for the player than bad.
It's needless violence in games that needs to be policed by parents and retailers. NO young kid should be able to play GTA3.
Here here. I always try and draw a comparison to television and movies, and people always bring up the ratings systems they have. Well, parents and retailers need to respect the great ratings the esrb give games. If its an M game, a 13 year old shouldn't be able to buy it, plain and simple.
Ya know I would start to believe that the X-Box title is a *little* better than the Gamecube title which is a *little* better than the PS2 title if they didn't rate EVERY multi platform game that way. Its almost like a rule because the games SHOULD look better on the X-Box.....
Thats not it at all. Every company wants money. Microsoft themselves are making games for the GBA. They don't see it as a direct competitor to the X-Box. Its the same reason Sony allows square to port some of the FF games over to MICROSOFT windows.
The difference is, square publicly put the N64 down, which is said to have persuaded other developers away from it. It literally PISSED Ninty's old pres off. Rare on the other hand, wanted nintendo to buy them out, but nintendo passed, so microsoft did. There doesn't seem to be any hard feelings.
What you don't understand is how nice of a product MOST people think the gameboy SP is, thats why when you word something like that you make YOURSELF sound like the fanboy.
But you don't understand. What he is saying is the niche nintendo is in, they don't NEED support. Their first party titles are the reason people (like me) buy the system. Its not like they have to compete to get themselves to develope for it.
Weren't there rumors that Ninty was making a VR let device using those Kodak screens? Could this be it? If it is, it seems late in the cube life cycle. Maybe its a new system that has vr.:):)::Pale goes and plays his Virtual Boy::
I, one who hasn't ever played a true mmorpg, can't wait for this title. When I first heard about these persistant world games, Middle Earth jumped out at me. I'm surprised it took THIS long for someone to make one. It takes and incredible wealth of details to make a good world, and Tolkien is one of the few who has seemingly thought about each and every one.
EXACTLY!!! especially seeing as it looks like you won't be able to unlock some of the stuff that the japanese arcade machine does. Its just silly. Especially when its gonna be out in a month here.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see two gb versions in the next generation... Look for a partnership between nintendo and another company for a great gb/phone combo, as well as a traditional cheaper gb from just Nintendo. Kind of the like the Gamecube/Q thing. I just hope that it would make it to the states if they did do it.
(yes, this is all complete speculation)
I think its funny that they are apparently starting with Activision and Acclaim. I always get the confused anyway...:) Hell, a lot of the video game industry seems crooked. Maybe they are just going in alphabetical order. =P
Your right, it is getting much better. But remember back in the SNES/Genesis days? Every game at every store was the same price. That was disgusting. Its so nice that we are beginning to see companies launch games at reduced prices and what not. I love buying great titles for 20-40, instead of 60 like before.
I'm kind of hoping for a triple launch of all three systems on the same day. =) Just to see how it would play out. Think about it sales comparisons.:) I for one will prolly be buying both a ps3 and the new nintendo system, which I'm really hoping they will call the "Nintendo Entertainment System." I just hope the PS3 has some good launch titles, preferably by square... otherwise, I may hold off.
Your argument is the same one we've heard for years about mp3s. Why don't you buy a fricken gamecube and then buy the few good games you want to play. Then the developers will actually receive money and continue to make creative games that people like. Like the music industry, now all the record companies think everyone likes boy bands and crap, when really, people are only buying boy band crap because older people are stealing it. Its wrecking the industry.

I'm game if one relatively low montly fee will allow me to play both PSO 1&2 and PSO 3. Thats a pretty cool thing for Sega to do.

Can someone please push off on the hype machine until we have a little more to go on than just words.....

Pff...thanks for straigtening me out. =P

I remember hearing the Monkey Ball 3 would also have lan capabilities sometime next marchish when it is launched. Can't find a link for it though.
