Maybe this isn't meant as a permanent repair? It would still be a hell of a boon if it worked fast enough that we could use it to temporarily shore up structures until they could be properly repaired.
I like Facebook because it makes it easy for me to keep in touch with family I wouldn't otherwise have a lot of contact with. Why would I want to delete my account? Maybe I should get rid of my phone, and Internet service, and any kind of contact information while I'm at it?
Mobile internet? Go there and see if they're open? My phone charges in my car, and I can find any place, and often the hours without having to actually call.
If you really want a phone book, then get one. They're not saying they won't have one. They're just saying that they won't give you one unless you ask for it. If you still have a wired phone and no mobile Internet, then you can ask for one.
Good to know. Like I said, the veracity doesn't make it any more or less newsworthy. The fact that people are talking about it are what make it news. The other facts are irrelevant;)
It's unconfirmed, but it's definitely making the rounds on Brazilian blogs and such. Even if it is a farce, the fact that it's newsworthy is newsworthy. IMHO.
Yes, I can. If I'm ignorant about something I have to deal with, I take the time to learn it. Or at least enough about it that I can tell bullshit from fact.
There's ignorance, and there's stupidity. You can fix ignorance, but if you refuse to, that's stupidity.
Flown in an airplane lately? You no longer have to circle to land. You basically just fly right in. More computing power and better software have enabled that. We've got new jet engines in the pipeline that are more efficient and make less noise, too.
That begs the question, why even have an SD card if you're going to make it permanent? Seems exceptionally stupid to me. Either solder it in, or make it a removable card. Doing both is just... neurotic.
Not everyone downloads to keep. Streaming is where things are currently moving, and people are going to want consistent, high performance for that. What if I want to stream and watch a different movie than the kids or the wife? That doubles the bandwidth right there.
Just remember to factor in your power usage prices. If you game a lot, it might be more economical to buy more of a card upfront and it'll use less power overall.

Meh. I still need kindling to start fires in the fireplace, and since I stopped getting the newspaper the unused phone book pages work great ;)

You're not gonna have any use for them any more. Why do you care?
Some of us understand that computer game characters aren't real people.

Nope. It's not just you.

What's even funnier is that most internal Bluetooth cards use... you guessed it. The USB bus. They're still using Satan! Muahahahahahah!
Do you know how fast they'd get sued if they did that? Remember Internet Explorer?

I prefer this tetris video
I cracked your top 15 with 67.84fps with 64bit Firefox from 10/15 (it's the only one stable with Flash still) and a mobile i5-520M. Just FYI ;)
Shall we get off your lawn now?
That's the point. If we don't need the other soldiers, they can either be not hired and back home, or doing something more useful.
I can totally see Osama in his cave with a powered exosuit. He and his buddies are the most credible "threat" we have right now that's not economic.
Until they're preventing the same happening to you, or others. Then you'd be happy for them.
*whoosh*
Gold is non-bioreactive in humans. It won't matter if it enters our lungs, as it doesn't cause any issues.

The reason that is in the news is because it's not the norm. Fucked up people have been around forever.
