    Maybe this isn't meant as a permanent repair? It would still be a hell of a boon if it worked fast enough that we could use it to temporarily shore up structures until they could be properly repaired.

    I like Facebook because it makes it easy for me to keep in touch with family I wouldn't otherwise have a lot of contact with. Why would I want to delete my account? Maybe I should get rid of my phone, and Internet service, and any kind of contact information while I'm at it?

    Meh. I still need kindling to start fires in the fireplace, and since I stopped getting the newspaper the unused phone book pages work great ;)

    Mobile internet? Go there and see if they're open? My phone charges in my car, and I can find any place, and often the hours without having to actually call.

    If you really want a phone book, then get one. They're not saying they won't have one. They're just saying that they won't give you one unless you ask for it. If you still have a wired phone and no mobile Internet, then you can ask for one.

    It's unconfirmed, but it's definitely making the rounds on Brazilian blogs and such. Even if it is a farce, the fact that it's newsworthy is newsworthy. IMHO.

    There's ignorance, and there's stupidity. You can fix ignorance, but if you refuse to, that's stupidity.

    Flown in an airplane lately? You no longer have to circle to land. You basically just fly right in. More computing power and better software have enabled that. We've got new jet engines in the pipeline that are more efficient and make less noise, too.

    That begs the question, why even have an SD card if you're going to make it permanent? Seems exceptionally stupid to me. Either solder it in, or make it a removable card. Doing both is just... neurotic.

    I cracked your top 15 with 67.84fps with 64bit Firefox from 10/15 (it's the only one stable with Flash still) and a mobile i5-520M. Just FYI ;)

    Not everyone downloads to keep. Streaming is where things are currently moving, and people are going to want consistent, high performance for that. What if I want to stream and watch a different movie than the kids or the wife? That doubles the bandwidth right there.

    Just remember to factor in your power usage prices. If you game a lot, it might be more economical to buy more of a card upfront and it'll use less power overall.
