Given how relatively little money they make from the scrap sales (only $4/lb, even if they carried 100lbs it's only $400), $3000 is enough to make one meth-head turn on another I'd wager.
A bundle of fibers cut is still a pain to replace. Even more than copper. But there is no reason for people to steal fiber, so all the cuts will end up being either accidental or vandalism with intent to steal until the news gets out that the big fat cables aren't copper any more.
If you take apart the cheap-ass Bic mechanical pencils, use a rubber band in a slit in the eraser and then wrapped to the pencil clip, you have yourself a pocket "gun".
If you just deposit $1.9 million in a standard savings account at just 2% return, you get almost $2000 per month in interest. If you can't live on that or find a better percentage yield, you're doing something seriously wrong.
No, the corporate workplace wants drones. What it needs is someone up top who recognizes that they don't actually need drones, they need talented people that are rewarded for loyalty.
The TSA's measures are worse than useless: they actually create a hazard, with long, slow-moving, densely-packed lines full of by-definition unscreened persons--lines that are about the ripest target for a bomb that you can find.
I've been thinking about that for years, but never said anything because I didn't want to give anyone any ideas.
You think you're that much smarter than someone who is intentionally thinking about how to cause mass destruction?
It may be more fuel efficient, but it still pumps orders of magnitude more sulfur into the air than trucks. Carbon dioxide and efficiency are not the only things to worry about as far as pollution goes.
So if you find yourself in that rare situation where work requires you have a smartphone, and won't pay for it, get one separate than your private phone and save on your taxes at the end of the year.
You're funny. Rare. Heheh. You don't really live in the USA, do you?
Because it was the first link to the story. Just because it's run by an idiot doesn't make it wrong. Even the most dyed-in-the-wool young earth creationist will tell you that the sky is blue.
I think stealing his sister's innocence would amount to rape, not theft. Same with copyright infringement. Calling it theft doesn't change the legal and physical realities.
Just because the idiom exists doesn't make it accurate.
Email is not a hard concept to master, but it's a push communication. Facebook is pull. If I want to look at everyone's pictures I can. Otherwise I can ignore them without having to download or manage them in any way from my end.
Facebook may open my personal and private data on a public medium, but guess what... I choose what to put on there. I understand completely that it's a public medium, and I don't really care. Not for the stuff I post. But I am aware of that... if I wasn't, well, that'd be another issue.
The point here is that you're just pissed off at Facebook for... well, I don't know why. Did Mark Zuckerberg kick your dog or something? And you're advocating that we keep riding our damn horses because they work, instead of moving on to cars or trains. Sure, my car won't come when I call it, or be fueled by grass, but the benefits of a car over a horse are obvious for anyone that's ever dealt with both.
A normal smart phone costs 3-5x unsubsidized. But that's still for a TON more features and complexity. This phone's BOM probably comes to less than $20.
4) Primarily people from the US have leaked information
It's not necessarily bias if that's all that they have. But that's not easy to find out.

That's a temporary cost of switching. When the switching is done, the thieves will learn.

That'll only take 120 contractors 3 months to do.
That's an apartment. Would you get the same service for the same price if you had a house?
I seem to remember our Constitution enumerating the rights of the government, and everything else goes to the people. Not the other way around.
But I may have been asleep that day in class.
Ignore the fact? It's entirely BECAUSE of the cost. The company that makes them has strong political connections.
You can be too smart to be a police officer. I don't see why it shouldn't extend higher in the ranks.
If you take apart the cheap-ass Bic mechanical pencils, use a rubber band in a slit in the eraser and then wrapped to the pencil clip, you have yourself a pocket "gun".
I'm betting the teacher was tired of that.

Is Salon.com any better? http://open.salon.com/blog/dennis_loo/2009/06/22/dod_deletes_protest_terrorism_problems_remain
How about the ACLU? http://www.aclu.org/national-security/fbi-investigation-thomas-merton-center-anti-war-investigation
How in the FUCK is what I said a troll?
I'm not sure I'd want to show up for an International arrest warrant if a government official that still retains a fair bit of clout was calling for my treatment as an enemy combatant. I'm sure that a trip to Guantanamo Bay would be completely off the table, right?
Given the way our current surveillance society operates? It's entirely possible.
On the other hand, I have a Realtek built-in card in my HP Envy 15, and it plays every game I throw at it with no complaints whatsoever.
Probably a driver issue.
Duke3D has an updated media pack and engine that is mostly modern. Full, proper controls at least, as well as much better graphics.
Shit, we have relatively inexpensive technology that can help with that, and still not infringe on our rights to not be searched unreasonably.
Don't be stupid.

Same with Facebook and email. Get over yourself.
