    The vast majority of shows and companies are aimed at women. Just because there are a few exceptions does not mean that the industry as a whole is not woman-centric. Not to mention that male fashion does not change very fast at all. Today's suits are not significantly different from the ones 25 years ago. Women's fashion on the other hand changes each season.

    ...really? Some of us play games on the GPUs, too. Or *gasp* do actual work with them! And the more expensive ones are faster. Because that's how technology works. No, not everyone needs an F1 car. Most people would be fine with a Corolla. And the cheaper cards generally give you much more value for your money. But if you can't see where some people would be more concerned about absolute performance than pure economy, then you're stupid.

    This is not a slashvertisement. This is simply tech journalism. Or is Car & Driver just a big advertisement? Is ANY special-interest magazine or site "just an advertisement"?

    No, the $70 million is the research and the technology. It would be like saying Intel spent $2 billion on a new chip fabrication factory, and you're only looking at the first processor off the line and calling it a waste. This has much wider applications, and will be much cheaper on a per-treatment basis. You can't equate the research cost and the treatment cost.

    Because that would cost more than just claiming it against insurance. Those ships run 24x7... they would lose more money from downtime than they would ever make it worthwhile in keeping that shit on deck. Picture perfect example of the tragedy of the commons colliding with unregulated capitalism.

    Hmmm... one is a charge that's shunted around the outside of the aircraft, and the other is minutely vibrating but powerful enough electric fields interfering with other minutely vibrating electric fields in unpredictable ways, possibly causing the pilot to think things are safe when they're not.

    Yeah, totally the same things. I hear Physics 101 has some open seats. Electrical discharge like a lightning strike is not the same as electro-magnetic radiation.

    It's not just Obama. It started under Bush. That got Congress properly scared so the Executive branch could work autonomously outside of the checks and balances of our government. Obama's just taking Bush's ball and running with it.

    THIS IS NOT A PARTISAN DEBATE. This is the "upper-class" declaring war on the "lower-class", and using partisan politics to divide us so we don't notice. Stop playing their game.

    They can stop you and check your registration and license, but checking your sobriety is a 4th amendment thing. Unless you give them reason to suspect you (no, just driving late at night is not a reason), DUI checkpoints shouldn't stand up to constitutional scrutiny. But given that our Supreme Court doesn't have sense of morality or knowledge of America and it's ideals and laws, I don't see a constitutional complaint going very far.

    The thing is, you are putting your website out on a street that is KNOWN to have people randomly shot by (let's be a little nicer here) paintballs. That's the Internet, and it's what the Internet has been for decades now. It costs a little bit, but it's relatively easy to have very tough to defeat body armor. Sony went out onto that street in it's underwear, and is now complaining that jerks are shooting them with paintballs. Legally, Sony is completely right. Morally... Sony deserves every ass-welt they get for being jerks and parading around in their underwear online.

    That was my point. Thank you for making it for me. He said that bitcoins are worth $.50 and not $20, but that still says he thinks they're worth something for some reason. My point is that them being worth $20 is the exact same as them being worth $0.50. It's the market at work.
