"Events at the Olympics? Oh, that sports stuff? I thought that was just there to break up the commercials!"
I suffered so much mental anguish during the US TV coverage of the last Olympics that I vowed never to watch it again.
To see so many live events interrupted by human interest vignettes featuring US athletes doing day to day stuff in hometown America was horrific beyond belief.
At one point I was watching a pole vaulting event only to suddenly find myself watching the life story of one of the US team members. By the time it had finished the event was concluded and then exactly the same thing happened during the next event.
I was able to catch quite a bit of the actual sporting events this year because we are lucky enough to get CBC here in Seattle, but whenever I see Bob Costas sat in front of a big fire with an athlete I break out into a sweat.
Give us this day our daily dehydrated space food.
And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our sponsors.
And lead us into space exploration.
Etc Etc.
Amen
I don't know about you guys, but the thought of looking at pron that only moments earlier was a bunch of spinning electrons surrounding a molecule makes me red hot.
For starters, there just aren't enough LEGO bricks in existence to build this pyramid of yours. And even if there were, who gets to choose what colour it would be?
I was under the impression the charge was for text messages, not IM.
I was IM'ing someone the other day and I'm pretty sure nobody was charged. Maybe I took a few of k of data out of my monthly allowance, but that was about all.
you're talking to the tower, not directly to the other phone
It's amazing that such a tiny little transmitter as the one in my phone can transmit a signal strong enough to reach someone in the same room, never mind a tower miles away from my location.

I could never figure out why they got involved in the news business by creating MSNBC.
Why not buy the Cartoon Channel instead and sell Xbox 360's, Napster and Rio MP3 players all day long for free!
It must have seemed like a great idea in 95 when the Microsoft Total World Domination Machine was in full power. Taking on CNN and Fox News in a battle royale must have seemed like fun to King Gates.
But to have it all fall apart at a time when their arch rival is pulling the World's biggest rug from under Microsoft in super slow motion must really hurt like hell!

No doubt there's a Moore's law for Maglev elevators. If there is you can expect Maglev elevators to be travelling at 10 miles per minute in just five years.
I was in the process of searching for some player/format usage metrics to help determine whether or not to continue producing a QuickTime version of a video based marketing tool I produce, and after this news I realize now that if there's any format I need to drop support for it's Windows Media.
Apart from the fact I like the video quality of the H.264 codec I use for producing video for QuickTime, I also prefer the whole process of creating it. The ease with which I can add interactive content and also control the way in which the playback mechanism functions.
With Windows Media Video it's the usual nightmare getting things to work. The support site at Microsoft is total gibberish, with more dead ends than an abandoned innercity freeway project, and the many and various technologies that Microsoft make available to enable its product to become actually useful are so difficult to figure out I never bother using any of them.
So the metrics I'm looking for now are "how many PC users have an iPod, or use iTunes" (which means QuickTime is already installed) and "how easy is it to install QuickTime if it isn't already present" which is easy. I did it just now on a PC I only run Microsoft apps on. About 15 seconds.

Ah, but do they love it enough to perform iBukkake?
I just assume everything I see on TV is stupid. That way, everything makes sense.

"At that length won't is start to pick up some sort of charge?"
I understand they are planning on announcing a new kind of doorknob to coincide with the opening of the Tether Base Station.
"how does that impact the pyramid idea?"

No problem. Just pick up a pack of Apple iGlove's.
Maybe it's just a coincidence, but most of the articles I read about spam always mention Florida.
Maybe a big filter between Florida and the rest of the World would work, and while we're at it a 100 ft high wall.

She's obviously lying, or demented.
Trading files all night long, then helping houses or whatever during the day.
It happens all the time!
Actually, there is one thing worse than "Nothing for you to see here. Please move along".

After reading this I became curious and checked my dog's bedding, and sure enough I found a copy of the Microsoft source code.
Why not put Bulbo on your iPod for free instead.
It looks kind of similar and IMHO lots more fun.

Version 2.0 of Apple's audio and video conversion too, Compressor, sucks worse than version 1.0.
Why not use rubber, or glass connectors? Neither of those materials corrode.

That's pretty impressive.
