    Okay you obviously haven't read any of the stuff on the official site. This is a battle to control magic. That's right. Magic is a non renewable resource that shoots out of the ground. It's oil! Second there is no Salish. There's no Seder Krupp, there's no Dunklezahn, etc. etc.. They're not starting from the beginning, they've thrown the beginning out and they're going to rewrite it.

    So does this work both ways? Will congress condemn companies for following the law here and applaud them when they break it? The fact is if they want to get into China they have to follow the law. The law sucks, this is true, but there are many laws I disagree with here and I have the funny feeling my congressman won't bail me out if I decide to break them.

    I can't see that? All I said was that getting the weapons is fun for some people. You were claiming that wasn't the way to have fun. I know many people who have never seen the inside of Molten Core and have ridiculous amounts of time on their main character and love WoW. Different strokes for different folks is fine with me.

    So for some reason doing something you enjoy is a waste of your life? Peronally, I feel doing things that are not fun and that I do not enjoy to be wasting my life. I enjoy playing WoW. I feel the time I spend playing relaxes me and keeps me happy. How is that a waste of my life?

    Listing all the worst qualities of one thing and then listing all of the best points of another is not a valid comparison. Try comparying the variable sizes on one to the other, rather than comparing variable sizes to instruction speed.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Microsoft is putting out a solid OS, I'm just saying that it's flaws are overexposed but the sheer amount of use it gets. I know that the bugs reported on software I write is directly proportional to the number of people using it. Users will find the most asinine, crackheaded things to do with your software and Microsoft has more asinine crackheads using it than anyone else.

    Blaming it on Microsoft is foolish. There are exploits in every OS out there. People write for MS because it's what people use.

    This author makes it sound like the FSF put a gun to these people's head, made them usen open source software, then tried to nail them for it. They could have written their own proprietary code and never had to release it. The chose to use GPL code, now they have to play by the rules. It's that simple.
