I'm 3ft from a USB port and dont need to plug in a wire?
how much can I pay for that?
Any mobile device that close to a USB port may as well plug in
to get the best bandwidth, security, and recharge its battery....
now, mobile to mobile xmission would be its best feature, I'd say
I'm surprised so many posts are confident they wont ban it since it brings in the money.
I think its highly likely to pass and is being lobbied by the richer, established brick and
mortar domestic casinos who suspect they lose business to online gambling. (which may or may
not be true, much like the music piracy debate).
I miss the fiscally conservative small state Republicans....
PC hardware and software will always be ahead of the consumer PVR boxes.
I've always wanted a product that integrated all the audio and video features I want in my entertainment center. But sure enough, as soon as some product comes out that can do what I want today, there'll be new software and hardware for the PCs that it cannot do. The homebrews are my best chance of getting those features sooner.
Of course, that means I'll probably always have to hack it. Its unfortunate, but probably worth it
Many times we hear about people going to jail for various crimes even when the authorities misuse their powers. I think most people dont care since the criminal was really doing something illegal.
The media, however, needs to make a big issue out of the innocent people whose rights are trampled by misuse of power. It is for them that the system of checks and balances was created to begin with....
Its media attention like this that will build the political motivation to oppose these new laws
I agree in principle that the information should remain unclassified.......that forcing the right security measures is a better solution than security through obscurity, but the fact is this stuff is highly vulnerable right NOW.
I think a better solution would be for Gorman to arrange to have the data released publically in five years. IE, The government and corporations have that much time to make the necessary infrastructural changes to protect these things.
Of course, he may go to jail for such an action. And he has to hope the government doesnt get to the data before the deadline.......
anybody know what tips off the SEC? I suppose they just review transaction sizes and timings - are there any references that quantify these? We should figure this out just in case we stumble across a time machine, or simply get lucky in the market.............
I always appreciate more options for entering
data into a PC - and the Tablet PC is basically a laptop that offers another way to input data.
just look around your desk where you work - see all those scraps of paper? you probably used them because its too much a pain to enter it in a computer. In my case, they are usually diagrams and drawings to help figure something out. No way could I enter those quickly and easily in a computer. no way can I easily search through all those papers for a specific drawing done a year ago. the Tablet PC offers this.
for now, its a bit too expensive and probably not a good as it can be, but thats true of all new technology. in a couple years, it'll be just about right.
yes, we have built smarter brains, over many generations via sexual selection
thats only 10 more years of computer hardware development
