You obviously just made it into THE country (U.S.A.) recently (illegally, no doubt). By having more powerful nukes, we can effectively destroy any country (or planet) that decides to use, threatens to use, or test a significantly weaker nuke.

Thousands of dead people and five armed babies are the perfect reason to not have nukes.

This might be a troll, but oh well..

Look at it another way: Try finding a small car on Earth from the Moon using telescopes. It isn't going to happen. For reference, try looking at this picture.

And we can't see planets a "brazilian light years away", we can detect them when they pass in front of their parent star because that star will dim just a little bit.

It should be noted, however, that the Clementine satellite (orbited the Moon for a little bit) did image the Apollo 15 landing site at Hadley Rille. More about that here.

You're sitting on the toilet with your iBook in your lap. You open up Firefox and connect to tp1.domain.com and are prompted for a username and password. After entering the username and password, you see a field called "sheets" where you type in the number 6, and then you click the check-box labeled "auto cut". You click submit and look ever at the toilet paper and it dispenses 6 sheets and cuts them free.

Once you're done wiping, you check the screen for stats on sheets used, sheets remaining, average sheets per session, per day, per week, etc.

    Yes. Totally awesome.

Well, there is more air between us and Mars when Mars is just rising, and less air once it reaches zenith (directly overhead). Any astronomer will tell you that they prefer to view things near the zenith because if seeing (atmospheric conditions like blurring) is bad, it won't be as bad near the zenith.

However, their necks and backs may not agree.

I've an ETX-90, and I can make Mars out as brilliant red disc with some darker terrain visible. That was at the beginning of the month. This year Mars is near the zenith at opposition which means less air between us and our target!
