I'm aware of two locations in which a Futureshop and a BestBuy practically share a parking lot -- one in Edmonton and one in Winnipeg. Although I haven't been to winnipeg in a while, maybe that was just two bestbuys, I forget.
Firefox does that. In the bookmarks menu, each folder has an "open in tabs" option. Not to mention middle-clicking on a folder in the bookmark toolbar opens that folder in tabs.
In that case you may be infringing copyright, but at the same time exercising your right to a backup, though to exercise that right through the bittorrent protocol, the only means of acquiring a backup given the DVD copy protection, you must redistribute and inherently infringe portions of the copyright.
But what if you use an upload-limiting client like BitTornado, and you only upload a small fraction of the file compared to the download? Would that count as fair use? I mean if I upload 5MBs of a 2GB movie or whatever, can that really be seen as an infringement?
Oh hell, I'm a glutton for punishment, I continued reading after that point, but only skimming now...
"Your eye has a lot of depth of field. Everything you see is sharp and in focus. The laws of physics make it impossible for your camera to do this."
Yeah, uh-huh, sure. Because the laws of physics operate differently on my eyeballs than they do on my camera. This statement is so wrong, I hardly know where to begin. First of all, everything I see is not in focus. Thing that come in front or behind whatever I'm focusing on are actually quite blurry. You just don't notice because... well... you're not focusing on them! Duh... The author seems to confuse his ability to quickly change focus onto whatever he looks at with an infinite depth of field. Also, shallow depth of field is actually a desired artistic effect in photography. And again, the tiny CCD in the crappy digicams that gives them such a large depth of field, also produce noisy images.
"You shouldn't worry about this"
Good, I'll skip this part then. Oh, that's the end. Morons. This is the worst review I've ever read of anything in my life.
Well they lost huge points for first making me select a screen resolution in order to view a flash thingy for just text. They could have saved themselves the trouble (and the bandwidth) by just presenting straight text. It'd work on any resolution, it wouldn't break my forward/back buttons, nor would it break my text selection cursor... so many reasons that flash is a pain in the ass.
But basically, I stopped reading at "you can buy a camera today without having to worry about it being obsolete." This statement essentially equates to "we've reached the peak, there will never be any better digital cameras released in the future, there is no more room for improvement, the current models are perfect, buy them now because there's nowhere to go but down from here."
I much prefer to hold down CTRL and then scroll the mouse wheel up, then down. Does the exact same thing, just easier than taking my hand off the mouse;)
Tried XMMS? It's a bug-for-bug reimplimentation of winamp for linux. Compatible with the exact same skins, and everything. Not sure about your plugins, though, I've never really done much with plugins.
Are lawmakers really necessary anymore? At what point can you say the laws are "done"?
Why don't we just kill all the politicians and allow the courts to decide how the existing laws should be interpreted, instead of buggering around with making new laws?
Wouldn't it be easier to just tax gasoline sales? If you wanted, you could put in some multiplier based on the fuel efficiency of your vehicle to determine how far was actually driven with the amount of gas purchased.
Just seems like it'd be a hell of a lot easier measuring gas flowing through a nozzle than tracking where cars go after they've filled up.
What about Dashboard? It's like a global search thing, except you don't have to tell it what to search for. You just do stuff on your computer, and it shows you things related to what you're doing.
Latest implementation of Remote Desktop (ships with XP) is insanely great. Access local devices like disks and printers from remote sessions, or vice versa. I did usable remote desktop session from Instanbul - USA over 28.8k modem. That's pretty cool.
Huh? X11 has been network transparent since the dawn of time. I'd hardly call this an original idea on the part of microsoft.
Sorry, it's been done.

I thought it was a free ride when you've already paid. Or maybe it was when you're already late. I forget.
Actually, yes. ;)
That's where the real power of the vote lies. Corporations know this. They wield that power to amazing effect.
How is that, exactly? I could be wrong about this, but I was under the impression that corporations don't vote.
Ouch, callouses, that's gotta hurt.

He reinstalls it every few months, to get the games running :>
Doesn't that wipe out grub? Sounds like a pain to maintain.
Not to ruin your fun, but knuckle-cracking causes hairy knuckles. *crunch* and my knuckles are pretty hairy ;)
Would you have preferred "HA/\F LIFE"?
Huh? I thought the last 2-4 years were the year of linux!

Netfox Firescape ;)
would have been funnier if you'd said "8 megadownloads per fortnight!" ;)
Sex is good! Man, I wish I could have some surprise sex.

I guess nobody's ever asked for a secure product. :-/
