I think the internet and computers in general should be seen a some kind of new world where we can have a different set of rules. Only things where computers interact with the real world, such as depriving someone else of money via fraud, should be seen as crimes. It's crazy that just possessing information can be a crime.
How do they tell the difference between someone that is foreign and someone that just looks foreign? Any black person can just claim they are a British citizen, so don't need an ID card.

Can't you get a digital tv box for $40? In the UK you can get DVB-T boxes for £20, which is about $40, and things are generally cheaper over there.
