>Well, the interview does at least demonstrate that she's a real person. GrokLaw is so comprehensive that I assumed PJ was a pseudonym for an entire law firm<
I'll bite: It has to be said. How about a bewoulf cluster of PJ's....
There are not that many employees at SCO these days. Lawyers maybe, but very few real software developers. I cannot find the link to the press release,<G> but remember it as being 350 worldwide.
Besides SCO now claims all the old SCO is really SCO/Caldera: http://www.sco.com/company/history.h tml What this page ignores, is that "Old SCO" is now still around...as Tarantula.
I wrote to abuse@msn.com about an ongoing spam stream from 241272@msn.com. The fact that this account is a string of numbers should tell MSN something. The fact that 5 million e-mails per day come from one account should also be a clue. MSN is a spam factory, the best spam solution would be to blacklist msn.com
I still recieve spam from 241272@msn.com (Yes it gets filtered and deleted)
Santas sleigh would need an IFF signal these days. I have confidence our Patriot missiles will knock out all eight reindeer. If Santa takes a commercial flight, he better arrive WAY early, to check that bag of toys.
Hmmm, Santa has a beard, headgear, a funny suit, lives in an out of the way place, he IS a loner Osama been Santa? <G> (ducks, runs)
Trolltech has been hornswaggeled into selling shares to Canopy. (SCO buddy) If Canopy seizes control (Hostile takover), KDE is gone. I can hear it now: "KDE contains our QT IP, we want all your computers to be Fed-x'ed to Lindon Utah or we sue everyone."
I do believe SCO's code should be private. Linux however is very public and always has been. If SCO can prove it owns some Linux code in court, Linux developers will remove it, if SCO asks and specifies the code. End of story. SCO does not pass go, or get to collect 200 dollars. Just because SCO is incompetent to run a software busines does not mean anyone owes them money.
"It's simply SCO producing more lies, and remaining at their own low level attempting to bring 'us' down....down to the level where they have all the experience."
Your comment reminds me of a sig I saw somewhere:
Never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
I guess SCO will bring you down to their level, then hit you with lawsuits.
I can hear Darl now: "Those linux creatures have stolen the IP space modulator" (with appologies to Marvin)
I think the people who want to charge for e-mail are right, to a point. We could take the rate of e-mails sent and multiply by the "tax". A normal e-mail user pays $.0001 per e-mail, any fee less than a penny would not be billed. If (X) e-mails are sent in an hour, the rate increases to ($.0001 x (X) charge per e-mail sent. Would this end spam? Show me where the holes are in this idea. It cannot be this simple or someone would have done this.
There is no truth to the rumor, that all new SCO operating systems are full of security holes caused by known security patches to open source not being applied to the SCO code tree. Tell me this, If you were a slandered open source developer, how much time would you spend fixing security errors in the SCO branch of your code tree. This would mean anyone using the new SCO software would run a grave risk. This must be only FUD.

The cure for all that ails Microsoft.
"SCO's Unix licensees are asked to certify that none of their employees or contractors have contributed any Unix code to Linux."
So if I write a perl script or a kernel module I get fired from my job, so my company can say "No, We did not contribute"

Hats off to you. You did not just say SCO sucks, I would have.
What would happen if you put too much "stopped light" in one place at the same time?
Can we split or combine a photon?

You claim to be attacked.
Unplug the web server.

How many Monopoly games do you need to buy to get that much fake money?
You call the NSA to report a terrorist:
Voice message says "Please hold an agent will be with you shortly"
Knock
Knock.....
"Also what happens if you upgrade to longhorn 2010 do you lose access to those files. it is a standard microsoft tatic."
I can just see the customer after I upgrade his computer and I am not allowed to restore his files. I'll tell him this is a new MS security "feature".
