I ran my SL-5500 as a web server for a few days just to test it. There is an apache distribution for it, with php included, but it does tend to run a little slow, probably due to the lack of physical ram on it.
You know, I've had that idea myself. Haven't had a chance to set up a spare box for it though. Always wondered exactly what would cause enough problems to warrant it being branded "don't use." Once, I downloaded 1.0 for nostalgia's sake, but it doesn't work the best when your main file systems are ReiserFS.
I downloaded that the first day it was available, and after I installed it, I discovered something interesting: it didn't require registration. Apparently, custom versions like that are preregistered.
I'm not sure if these would, but the higher model probably would be able to, as you're able to view networked cams, etc on them. Of course, I've been drooling over the damn things for a few months now, and the $1699 price tag means a lot of drool....especially since no one seems to want to buy drool.
With that 16x16 canvas, this woman managed to make images that have become part of everyday household life for many people. Her work has been seen by hundreds of thousands of people at least, and I believe some of her work is still showcased in the moricons.dll file. Just because a canvas is small, doesn't mean it's unimportant.
Remember, this is supposed to be 2013. Technology might be quite a bit different then. But, assuming that it does pick up light levels, wouldn't the color change when you close your eyes? That would cut the amount of light that the lenses recieve, causing them to turn clear again, causing a few painful seconds while the lenses adjusted again after you open your eyes, and a few more seconds when your eyes which just adjusted to the large amount of light adjust to a lesser amount, and by then you have to blink again.
Damn it all.
At SIUC, they've been recording MAC addresses for at least a year now. Not only do they record them, though, they restrict Internet access to ONLY those specific MAC addresses. This practice could cause more harm than good, though, since a MAC address can be easily misrecorded, and certain models of routers (which are needed since each dorm room only has one ethernet jack) become useless.
I almost started doing that. Then, the manager tried to convince me that it was okay to drive on a suspended license, with no restricted permit. I still have nightmares about the "Double-D" edge.
Pathfinder/Sojourner has one too

Well, it's different. Apple doesn't make an operating system or media player.....er...wait.... *runs off*
Of course, the polar ice caps melting would cause the water levels to go down, since water expands when it is frozen.

I believe the word you're looking for is "vivisection."
That "dontuse" is like a big red button. Just begging to be pushed.

I think if you have a problem with 2.4.11, it's your own fault.
Two double cheeseburgers, supersize fries, and a 42 ounce soda costs exactly $5.00 here (Southern Illinois).

They explain it pretty well here.
You can find more information on X.500 Here, here, and here.

Thanks, just ordered mine :)
It's an old offer, posted on Techdeals on April 5th.

At least not YET.

You kick ass.
I had that happen to me before....I got over 300 bounced emails, as well as about 50 replies.
