Sony's new Clie is the first Palm-based handheld to nix the permanent silk-screened input area in favor of a software-based area displayed at the bottom of the new, larger LCD screen.
false, http://www.handera.com/ has had that feature for quite a few months now
Ok, I know I'm posting this a bit late, but if anyone sees it mod up! 2 things.
1 The DMCA/Blizzard thing is not new. They've tried it against many many sites and people that release hacks for their games (such as duping in diablo or maphack in sc)
2. It's a shame that blizzard pulled a DMCA on bnetd, but the reason for them shutting down it down were legit. Basically right now the beta for warcraftIII is out, but only 5,000 out of 100,000 got it. As a result many many rabid fans have gone to desperate measures to get it. Right now the ways to play it without getting the beta mainly consist of getting the ISO using one a ripped key or else a no key hack and then playing with another single player hack. Blizzard cannot do much about this and the player can't really play against opponents since there is no computer ai in the beta. Recently (friday) Bnetd released their a new underground version that will allow war3 to be played. This is why blizzard doesn't want it. They don't want a public beta for reason that I will not get into here.
i Dunno about normal rockets, but those rice rockets are getting super fast, my 2001 civic dx has almost 140 hp! and with the EXTRA large spoiler, tail pipe, lowering, and rims i could probably beat on of these fancy schamcy rockets
As a proud member of the American protect the keg society (COLLEGE) I find it horrible that someone would want to miss treat a keg like this. I demand that the keg be saved and brought to the party this saturday at the Marriott close to campus room 42.
First you get to go to a place where you get to drink beer on your parents tab and room with coeds.
Then you make more money in a day then your parents make there entire life.
Then you go back and drink have sex again.
Yah gosh, those dotcommers have it rough...
As a proud frenchman I insist that you rude Americans remove your silly "battlebots" from our ebay. This is clearly a weapon of malicious intent that represses innocent robots and gives robots around the world a bad name!
Aussie seems to have some wierd internet policies. First the pass big brotherish computer laws that basically allow computer spying, and now the refusal to maintain the.au domain system. I think this improper management of the internet gives greater calling for some global standards.. ones better than ICANN
I can only speak from a perspective from the US, but being a junior in high school I can definately say you meet some intersting teachers... However you cannot blame teachers for lack of knowledge about science. The american curriculum is so designed that one will get enough science/literature/anything. Its whether the student is interested. Interest can develop from a teacher, but it can also develop from parents, the actually student, and the community. And i bet, if you look at science performance you have geniuses and clueless whos amounts follow a bell curve....
The EFF is not opposed to the FTAA because they're trying to extend the DMCA. Instead is the JLA who have allied with MSFT in an attempt to subvert NASA into not using CDA so the RIAA falls because as we all know MSFT is trying to capture all 3 and 4 letter domains so they can patent all abbrivations of names. The is SWC signing out.
I think this just goes to show that the internet industry is very very dependent on government support. Without government intervention the internet would not have been created; furthermore, time and time again, government intevention was crucial to make sure the internet ran/runs smoothly. and there needs to be large over seeing force (and I'm not talking Mr. Smith's hand). Broadband is no different.
The Internet is like a highway. Business and people use it, but ultimately the government must over see it.
"This story at the Guardian describes research done in Japan showing that playing video games in youth prevents development of the front lobe, leading to violent behavior."
Personally I like to play video games outside of youth... but I guess i just like to be different.
wow. this article would be true......
for about 5% of the world who happened to be wealthy, white, and living in america at that time
( who also didnt live during WW1 or WW2)
the article ignore the rest of the world who did not leap to those great inventions (even including Europe to an extent)
it also ignores the low living standards of minorities
THUS LIVING STANDARDS FOR THE WORLD HAVE BEEN INCREASED
finally it ignores advancements in other areas such as greater global peace, increased tolerance

Bill Gatliff explains everything you need to do to install Linux on a Sega Dreamscast gaming console.
I see this "Bill Gatliff" person is trying to get people to use linux on dreamcast instead of xbox...
