Depends you you are answering. If it a corporate entity possibly. If it's a user then likely it is not. Does the average user associate "being opensource" with "being better" or what? Probably not. They don't even know where the Start button has gone.
But if it had white cartoon gloves and put the shirt on by itself, steamed, and took it off and folded it up neatly, then maybe this could be called a robot. Just because it looks like a humanoid torso is irrelevant. Irrelevant!
There is no point comparing Linux and oranges. What we have learned from history is that Usability is the most important followed by Software/Drivers. All else is irrelevant.
I would assume that the whole dust blocking out the sun thing would cause cold-blooded murdering dinosaurs to slowly slowww slooo-die! In this environment the warmer blooded cute little plush animals would be better suited. A heat pulse could have fucked them up too, but I wasn't there.

Gedit is way behind. GTKSourceView has weak syntax highlighting.
By the way, I have both Gnome and KDE installed and switch between them often.
