On Userability studies if your goals are the same as those of the Apple Corporation. If of course these are similar to the interfaces of the equivalent Apple Corporation applications.

Real must really want Apple to have a chance in the streaming audio/video market. They were so kind in trying to make a deal with Apple (because they don't need Apple's help to fight against Windows Media codecs). I think Steve Jobs has made a Really bad mistake here. Without Real, Apple is doomed.
I think it's just to keep up with appearances. Image is everything. Plus after awhile the IT department gets bored because the current system has been in use for a while and sometimes it's nice to change it for shits and giggles.
Brand protection is a funny thing. Let's not forget Microsomebody aren't the only ones who do this feverish 'protection' of trademarks (brand names, etc). Seems to happen alot unfortunately.
The difference is this is aimed at the business desktops I would think. I haven't really seen a Mac there unless they had an interior decorator do the place.
