    Kodak saw digital coming way back in the 70's. But they were a film and chemical company, not a camera company like Canon or Nikon.

    I may be mistaken (don't administer any Mongo databases), but as I understand it, many databases were exposed by an upgrade. Even if you had a password set the upgrade wiped it out and quietly left you exposed.

    If that's what actually happened, the Mongo project has some explaining to do

    A legitimate newspaper would never run a story based on one leaked piece of information from an unnamed source. WaPo is so anxious to print anything anti-Trump they'll print fake news and apologize when they get called out.

    If they wanted to give an easy way to jailbreak the device, sure.

    But I doubt they want that, so they make the consequences high for attempting to do so. I'm not saying I agree with the policy (if that's what they did), just that I understand why they did it.

    If he tossed a brick through the screen would you expect LG to repair it for free? Why should they fix it for free after he installed a movie pirating app loaded with malware?

    More like a different form of unemployment insurance. But yes, this has nothing to do with Universal Basic Income. In particular, the participants were already working; if they really want to see the result they should give it to a random cross-section of the population, including those who are not working and those who are above the median income. And they should tell the participants that it's guaranteed for the rest of their lives rather than just a couple of years. I don't see how this study can reveal anything about people's behavior.

    The insinuation that research will be destroyed or "could only be retrieved with a taxing Freedom of Information Act request".

    By the way, here's another fact you might have overlooked: Trump and Al Gore had a long conversation, which Gore called "a lengthy and very productive session with the president-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground".

    1) Nobody has produced any evidence that a concussion grenade was used, or that the police even had them

    2) Concussion grenades are designed to stun and scare the crap out of people, but not injure them. More like a very loud firecracker.

    Citation needed; there's so much fake news going around on this topic you can't believe everything you hear. I couldn't find any reports of shrapnel from a grenade being the cause. However, there is a report of a young woman being injured by a homemade bomb. I also found reports that the FBI collected bits of flesh from one of the propane canister bombs, so someone was injured by it.
