    The bot helps a person decide if the reasons they have are "legitimate", and it gives some pointers on what evidence to bring if you decide to challenge. I don't understand why you think that's useless.

    Up to now helium was found by chance when drilling for something else. This time they worked out a geological model of where to look, and sure enough they found a huge amount the first place they looked based on that model.

    That's the "game changer", knowing where to look for helium.

  7. A half decent lawyer can almost always get you out of a traffic ticket, whether it's worth the cost is up to you. There are legions of lawyers in Georgia who make their living getting people out of the bogus tickets the Georgia State Police give people heading to Florida.

    Going to most traffic courts on your own is a double or nothing bet. If the cop shows up you'll get hit with the fine + court costs. But if the cop misses the hearing you get off automatically.

    He didn't say ACA. Much of it was mandated by HIPAA, but it's really due to malpractice lawsuits. A healthcare provider needs to document everything and keep it essentially forever, including billing information in case they get charged with fraud.

    Because this isn't an example of direct democracy. The elected representatives still control the decision; the referendum was just a weaselly way for the MPs to make a difficult vote without facing a backlash the next time they're up for re-election.

    Nah.

    Facebook didn't have a policy of ignoring certain news sources or stories.

    But it did hire people to do the filtering, and most of those people were recent journalism graduates from liberal universities. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the end result was biased reporting, whether that was the stated intent or not.

    It is also my understanding that this is the reason the gas can potentially vent out of random, unpredictable places in the ground, not just out of the well hole itself.

    I've never heard of that happening. The videos of flaming faucets/garden hoses in the "documentary" about gas drilling were proven fake.

    You won't likely see huge progress like we have seen in the past due to limitations of physics and power concerns.

    That isn't stopping innovation. The problem Apple has is that Steve Jobs is dead. He was Apple innovation, without him all there will be is incremental changes.

    A far better use for the solar energy hitting a roof is a heat collector for domestic hot water. No need for expensive PV panels and batteries, just a thermostat and a small pump; energy is stored is an insulated tank until needed.

    Whether or not Peter Thiel funded the trial is a fact that can be proven true or false. An opinion can't be proven.

    What was reported is one man's opinion.

    If it can be proven it is a fact. If it's disproved it's an opinion that's wrong.

    But they didn't design their own chips, they stole a 30 year old design and brute forced it into a bigger cluster.

    The US could easily build a computer with a larger performance rating using an existing but more modern design if there was a good reason to do so. Instead a completely new design will be used.

    It's a traditional matrix, nothing special about it. Manage each team individually the same as any other development team;, the fact that they're matrixed is irrelevant. Occasionally (maybe once per quarter) have an all-hands meeting and have each team give a 3 minute presentation on what it's doing so people have an idea what else is going on, same as any other large development organization.
