I used to use gnutella all the time. But not enough people used it, so it was difficult to get the files I needed. Maybe Gnutella 2 will usher in a wave of new users. Then we can finally stop using Kazaa.
Qzukk:If you don't mind a show that isn't crammed with nonstop action, you might just like it. The pacing can be slow at times compared to the latest hollywood Blow Em Up, but there are still a number of action and suspense sequences.
Okay then, forget it. I'm not much into artsy movies. Take Princes Mononoke for example. It was, technically, a great cinematic acheivement, but it bored the hell outta me. Half the time I was just asking myself, WHO IS ON THE MOST CRACK? Not to offend anyone who likes the movie, it's just that I didn't really want to see some artsy-"Oh look at me, i'm so DEEP and insightful" movie. I wanted to be entertained.
I beleive that TEACH is inherently flawed, in that it really doesn't give any incentives to the original creators of the copyrighted materials. Afterall, why should a teacher be allowed to copy a scene from a movie and I can't. HOWEVER, I feel that the DMCA is lawful rape of the consumer, and I personally support any peice of legislation that weekens it. After all, it assumes that all people are criminals until proven otherwise. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE A BACKUP, since your shity cds will inevitabley SCRATCH!
actually. It can be pretty easy, depending on how you go about it. If you were to actually overclock the proc itself, you would need to buy a kit, but that's only about $20. However, If you just up all the frequencies of the motherboard (the FSB, the PCIbus, the AGPbus) then it really isn't that difficult. My gigabyte motherboard even comes with a handy utility that does all difficult part for you. All you have to do is move the slider around and hit go.
Geek: "I'm developing a program to download porn 1 million times faster." Marge: "Does anyone need that much porn?" Homer: "MMMmmm... one million times.... (gurgle noise)"
Okay, now to say something serious. Even with broadband, most files download painfully slow because no one can afford to constantly upgrade their servers to dish out large volume of data to the public. If you ask me, 8.6Gb ethernet would be a lot more useful. After all, huge file transfers on your ethernet are at least common place.
Fact: Mozilla has lots of bugs Fact: The staff can't possibley address them all in real time Fact: They do manage to address a large number of them
Fact: IE has lots of bugs Fact: THe staff can't possibley address them all in real time Fact: They usually just ignore bugs until b\they become a CRITICAL vulnerability. And even then it can take months to address.
Because they still get enuf veiwers. DBZ is what? 10 years old? And despite that it can take them a year to get in maybe 30 new eps, they still pull in plenty of veiwers.
Plus, Trigun is new to me. And I'm sure it's new to lots of people.
Actually CN wont let it slide (entirely anyway)... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/columns/edit-list. php?id=83... for an interview about their policies. Drinking alchohol is a no-no for CN. After all, they love to edit (SNIPPY, SNIPPY)
ahhh.... NeoGeo-Eva... what a great series. Which is why I don't want CN to air it. They'd find someway to ruin the feel of it, with their obnoxious editing. And the JIGGLE, i hate the JIGGLES!!! I'm one of those anime losers that only watches uncut anime with subtitles, not stupid enlgish voice-overs. I like anime the way it was supposed to be seen. After all, would the simpsons be any good if some people in a foreign nation took the liberty of editing the content and redoing the voices. I say not.
I couldn't agree with you more. I stopped watching DBZ on CN when they started to enlarge the swimsuits on the characters. Why, because the editing jobs were pointless and poorly executed, leaving those damn jiggles. Further more, I could change the channel and watch something far worse.
Decided to watch CN again. Apperently they can't show the word beer either, so they made it root beer. How annoying. Want to know something funny though, I've read maybe three Learn-to-Speak-Japanese books, and the word beer (biru) was always taught in the first chapter^^. Anyway, that really annoyed me, so I changed the channel and stumbled upon an episode of NYPDBlue, the one with full nudity during primtime hours.
Even watched adult swim for a while. Still don't know why it's called adult swim, nothing I can't see on FOX at 6 in the afternoon. I was watching this one show (about a girl who travels back in time to figh demons or something) and they couldn't even say idiot. They said "igeeot"... now why in the hell would that be edited?
Anywayz, I've stopped going to CN for my anime needs. Instead I swap dvds with my friends, or download unliscened animes from http://www.animetorrents.com (and it's actually legal too!) ---- My favorite being Naruto.
wait. Maybe if I were to spend years developing a dependable and rock-solid linux distribution, then I could make FP postings and not get modded down! Then, with this now power, I will slowly take over all of/.!!!!! MUHAHA (specifically two "ha"s)
Or I could just come up with something meaningful to contribute to/..... yeah, that would be a lot less work.
Anyway, the linux client for UT2003 makes for much better game play (seeing as how UT2003 is a much better multiplayer game than a singleplayer game) simply because the Linux is a far more stable server environment than windows. So I am very glad that Epic did what it did.
Now, I wouldn't quite call it a major hack. Not really. Sure, there are a few loops to jump through, but Linux is just chalk full of such obstacles. Oh, well.
Yes, Carmack does kick ass. As if there was a question.
I'm missing something. As cool as it is, why do you need to liquid cool 1.1Ghz Athlons. Its nothing a fan can't handle adequitely and at a much more desireable cost. Are they just going for the wow factor, or is there an actually reason for the liquid cooling.
Was going to make a beowulf joke, but then you insensitive clods would mark me redundant (I'm only like the 20th poster, how redundant can I be?)
yes, he is missing the "coolness factor" ... because there is none. I smell a slow news day on slashdot....
and to think how many of my submissions were rejected, compared to this, mine were pure gold!

just remember, It can take the defragger hours to defragg, I don't think you'll wait that long ^^...
that it does ^_^

someone lying in advertising: who cares happens all the time!
Microsoft Lying: HOLY CRAP! NEVER IN ALL MY LIFE WOULD I HAVE SUSPECTED THAT. I mean, if I can't trust MS, who can I trust?

much more creative.
from the because-they're-too-stupid-to-use-two-buttons dept.
this isn't a troll, I just don't know why they have only one button. Can anyone fill me in on why?
Linux needs a cool commercial. http://phunny.drghetto.com/switchlinux3.swf
okay. Doesn't really have anything to do with this article (it's more of a switch ad) but it's still funny.
SEE!!! This is exactly why I never read the articles ^^ .....
yourself this. When is the last time you've ever used 411? I don't think I ever have.
But I could be wrong. Maybe a lot of people use it.
has someone been reading classic literature again? And then confusing sed literature with their own fantasies?
I think the answer is yes

ha ha! People have already come up with a work around. Some other people already posted the links. HA HA! No feasible way! HAHAHAHA!!!
