What the hell kind of information is this? Wow, some random guy heard that virtually every niche and cranny is getting some kind of makeover. Real credible source.
OMFGWTFBBQ EVIL TECHONOLOGY. GET NEKKID. Protests like this lower the value of all other protests. Sort of like spamming lowers the value of all e-mail, you have to filter out the crap to actually see the stuff that is worthwhile.
But who needs logic when you can jerk your knee around some. These guys have the same mindset as the Creationists, just a different issue.
I don't see Intel liking their relationship with Microsoft much, but I don't see a good reason for them to piss them off anymore than they need to either.
No,read what I was responding to before posting. The OP said America is the definition of a Police State and I claimed that North Korea would be my definition of a police state.
I was just wondering what will become of their code morphing technology especially in light of the rumors of Apple potentially going to X86. Could be interesting if Apple had a chip that could do X86 and PPC at near full native.
Here is some money that NASA could "invest" in another x-prize like compitition. Get some innovation back into the space game. Maybe once China starts blasting some people towards Mars the US will get off its ass again.
It sounds like Intel may have learned a little something after the fiasco with the unique ID embedded on the chips. AMD took advantage of that gaffe rather quickly, and I believe that was one of the things that helped AMD with mindshare in the geek community. AMD execs would love to see Intel stumble with some braindead DRM in the chip, all they'd have to do is highlight their non-DRM nature and watch their sales increase.
Have some imagination and some sense of humor:) I understood exactly what this article was about, but I was just making an observation of what advertisers would love to be able to do.
Wow can't wait to have 3-D popups hording my screen. I love the fact that unscrupulous advertisers have figured out how to game Firefox, I'm starting to see more and more popups again. I guess its time to turn off Flash.
Thank god that OpenBSD cares enough to make the portable version of OpenSSH. I've used OpenSSH to make my machines more secure on everything from Solaris to Linux to *BSD.
It's clear that Open Source is becoming more mainstream by the day. I think there has to be some admission that the coined term of OpenSource does beat out "free software" from a marketing and appeal to general public.
Thats dandy except that OpenBSD isn't trivial to patch and keep up to date. An attitude like this is a sure way to get yourself owned. Security is a process, installing OpenBSD and then not keeping up to date on patches is nearly as bad as doing the same thing on Windows.
Look up the following:
Not JWZ, CmdrTaco for posting this.

Back in the day you would have been so sensitive about this sort of cross site promotion, but I guess its all about the stock price these days, huh?

*plonk*
Do you have to be in every god damn business in the tech market? Let one or two of them go for once.

Ever heard of slippery slope?
So do you have a bill of rights yet?
Right, cause there aren't any countries like North Korea that would be closer to the true definition of a police state...
I don't like the Patriot Act either, but we aren't to the point where we have to fear being killed for critizing our leadership or laws either.
So what is one thing you've done besides bitch about it on Slashdot?
Amazing, someone got off thier ass instead of posting dupes all day.
Put on your laughing cap!

I thought Wolf3d + Dune 2 + Nethack was all we ever needed. Seems that way from all the ripoffs anyway.

Your mom runs linux.

Kudos!
I used to be obsessed with accurate clocks, still am for my servers, but after awhile its all relative anyway ;)
Half the posters here seem to be advocating fraud. Way to go guys.

Good job!
