So, just because a single "generic laptop" was sold with a crap GigE card then no one should be able to get such a connection?
No kidding. All of my dekstops and laptops for the past 8 years have had GigE built into the motherboard. My home LAN has been gigabit for over a decade.
So basically, you just replaced your Cable Company with an online only service, giving you 50 hi def channels for cheap. That is a GOOD thing, since it takes the LOCAL Monopoly out of TV.
In most areas the Cable Company also has the local monopoly on bandwidth.
IT's why the people that built the company are always far more successful at running it than some idiot that got his masters in Business Administration, and has connections.
It worked for all the MBA suits at Sun Microsystems, right?
I'm also a T-Mobile customer happily using a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS on their network.
My $49.99 500min/2GB/unlimited sms is cheaper than the equivalent $84.99 plan on AT&T.
I was a loyal and happy T-mobile customer since the Voicestream days, just before they became T-mobile. I waited as long as I could for them to get the iPhone, I considered the G2 and myTouch phones, but ultimately my job (iPhone app development) required that I own an iPhone, so I could wait no longer. So yeah, I'm one of those who left T-mobile to get an iPhone.
Funny, I'm using a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS on T-Mobile.
And as a developer, you would appreciate T-Mobile's Pay-as-you-go service so you can have active sims for all your development phones with no monthly charges. You only pay for the calls and sms you use and they have a "day pass" for when you need to do network development/testing. When your development phone is sitting unused, it isn't costing you anything.
And that its first symptoms are something as common as sneezing. So, yeah, just being around someone with an allergy could cause you to shit your pants in terror each time they sneeze, because it COULD be the start of such a horrible epidemic.

We have had some victories over disease -- the "swine flue" for example was slated to be a pandemic on the order of SARS. However, through quick action, it had less of an effect than the generic flu does each year.
What quick action was that?
It spread everywhere. It just turned out to be less of a problem than the regular flu.
But I was so hoping that t-mobile or Verizon would get the iphone 5. We don't get sprint or aT&T where I live.
There's a rumor that Cincinatti Bell has the new iPhone in their order system and they use the same frequency as T-Mobile.
If true, that could mean buying an unlocked iPhone directly from Apple would get T-Mobile's faster data speeds.
We'll find out soon.
Everyone is on Orkut.
Isn't anything related to Microsoft a scam?
So what's the benefit now? Not much. What will be the benefit? Potentially a lot.
A lot of profitable fees for the cell phone companies.
What are the fees like?
Are they as tasty as Dippin' Dots?
You have that backwards. The majority of developers target iOS first and then port to Android.
And isn't Time Machine OSX-only?
Of course! No reason to use anything else!

Data caps are the real issue with this.
No kidding. That would be GREAT!
I use AT&T... but the fact they have an exclusive with Apple,.
So my factory unlocked iPhone purchased directly from Apple shouldn't work on T-Mobile as it does currently?
Every parent ever has been accused of being "totally mean" or "UNFAIR" by the children they're disciplining.
Parents ask for an "advertising" payment in exchange for allowing good reviews to be posted?
At some point we need to stop protecting people from mind-boggling levels of stupidity, or it just allows people to get away with being even *dumber*.
Isn't that what the "freedom" of Google Marketplace is all about?

Maybe they would save some resources if they charged full price for all that junk mail instead of giving it just a big bulk discount.
Stuffing a broken game system into a garbage dumpster.

T-Mobile does not have terrible cellular. That is a myth that anyone on T-Mobile can verify.
Especially anyone who has carried both AT&T and T-Mobiles phones around. AT&T has the terrible network coverage.
So, when i unplug my peripherals from my computer case, it ceases to be a PC?
Becomes a server?

99.9% of the people never have a meeting with people on the other side of the world. Changing time zones would bring them only confusion.
They're confused all the time anyway. Changing the time won't make a difference.
