For the same reason why I think uncensored war footage should be shown on the nightly news, maybe if the average civilian actually saw what goes on in war, the public would be less likely to stand by idly while our government spends billions on killing people on the other side of the planet.
Americans are only OK with violence in fictional entertainment. The real thing or boobies is not acceptable.
The speed limit isn't to limit the reasonable person who is driving within safe limits - it is only there to enable the cops to identify and cite the less common idiots.
In Monterey California, the speed limit is lower on their section of Hwy 101 from the rest of 101 and it is used as a 24x7 ticket revenue stream.
The TV show didn't catch because it was originally aired out of sequence.
Little more than that.
The Fox execs just didn't understand the show and instead of showing the pilot episode that set up the universe, they forced Whedon to create an "action" episode to air first with the lame train robbery.
Fox management micro managing a show they didn't understand.
Which is nice, in theory. In practice, there are only two cell providers in the U.S.: AT&T and Verizon, and they're both doing this. If you live in a major city, you could use Sprint/Nextel or T-Mobile, but neither of them has the infrastructure to be a viable competitor to AT&T, much less Verizon.
Sprint and T-Mobile can drop calls just as good as ATT/Verizon in major cities.
Wally-world is 3 minutes from my house. I can be there and back in 15 minutes from when I decide to go. They actually have a decent selection of Blu-Ray movies these days, including a number in the cheap bins.
You realize a lot of those "blurays" are bargains because they are simply the standard mpg2 file from the DVD release put on bluray media, right?
Comcast did the digital conversion last year and I could pick up all my "Extended Basic" channels on the digital TVs. (now called "Digital Starter" service.)
This year they started encrypting all the digital channels requires renting a box for every TV.
My only real concern is that of privacy. How exactly do they go about telling you're a zombie?
Pretty good bet you're a zombie if you are eating your neighbor's brains.
The gov't doesn't want to panic the public.
"Computer" is actually code for "human."
No kidding. If Apple had done this, there would be riots in the street.
But since it is Google, it's ok for them to mess with your apps.
The proper solution is not to stop drilling, but to require a relief drill to be dug at every site.
2 leaks are better than 1
Hulu is broken - it does not work in most of the world.
Hulu is broken in the US as well. Between some series posting a week or more after it airs to others only being viewable for a short time.
What F'd up sadistic moron would push the junk mail filtering, message rules, and flagging down to the client?
You haven't met many IT people I guess. While there are many good ones, there are quite more completely clueless ones.

Sadly people misunderstand how extremely important it is to have fun at school
Fun is naughty...
*sigh* I guess we'll never know for sure, now.
No.
Can someone explain in plain English what the purpose of Google Wave is?
No.
and the state pays* for everything if you're poor.
Gotta keep the slaves healthy. If they are all sick, who will clean the toilets and mow the lawns?

They will display Goatse of course.

Yup, T-Mobile completely rocks. Especially when I'm getting coverage and my friend with an iPhone on ATT is getting nothing.
Their unlimited SMS and data for $20/mo rules now compared to ATT and Verizon.
Wow, I'd hate to live in your world.
That's what it is like in a world with MBAs.

You're missing all the fees that the UK charges electronics vendors. Kinda like the blank media tax in many countries. Fees charged to the company.
Up until today, the Mac Mini hadn't seen a major redesign since the addition of a few extra USB ports around 2007.
I guess you missed the 2009 model with completely redesigned guts and out of the box support for dual displays.
I disagree. I had never heard of Uwe Boll until he started his lawsuit campaign.
Sure you have. You know him under the more commonly used phrase: "That crap on the SyFy channel."
I sure as Hell wouldn't *PAY* for a copy...
Especially when they are on SyFy channel every night.

I just cancelled the "Digital Starter" service.
Screw Comcast.
Hopely, Japanese touchdown on asteroid will change things so we will have less wars in future, and more riches coming from space.
That's what the dinosaurs thought, but a miscalculation brought down the asteroid a little too quickly.
